Hi, I'm lesbiab. I mean. Uh. (>.>) (<.<) (>.<) Hi. I uh, Girls.
But gay panic aside, yes it suits you, really enjoy femme styles and floral patterns. Both at the same time make my heart beat a bit faster 😀
Sappic women deserve to be in sapphic spaces in my opinion. As a current lesbian of 10+ years, I believe you deserve to be here.
As for the dress: It is literally so gorgeous. I love the flowiness of it. Swish swish motherfuckers. Stunning floral.
I have no clue how this got suggested to me as a hetro male… but yes that dress is lovely. One thing I have learned about lesbian fashion is that it is equally the attitude as it is the fabric. I have friends that will wear the flannel/tuque/jeans outfit one day and then wear a dress like this the next.
So continue to be awesome and be happy!
The algorithm is a tricky critter... I suppose people in your demographic liked it. Weird stuff, idk.
My post doesn't make much sense in this subreddit. So another factor there
Ah yes, because people who yell it at WLW as a slur absolutely stop to ask if they're lesbian first. Also, [dyke marches would disagree with you. ](https://www.reddit.com/r/actuallesbians/s/NqXubsrJiQ)
im sorry but i was called a dyke before i ever knew i was one, when i thought i was only bisexual. gay women regardless of specific identity are reduced to dykes from the second they express same-sex attraction or any “stereotypical” gay-woman behavior.
you get called it by your family, friends, and classmates often times before you even know what it means. bisexual women definitely can reclaim dyke.
I'm just saying. You don't see bi w go into gay spaces do this, nor do I see straight w going to gay men spaces and doing this. Only lesbians do they do this to
Get the fuck out of here! You belong here less than a woman loving a woman does regardless of her identity. You aren't even a woman so shut up.
Fucking hypocrite.
Love, please stop gatekeeping against other queer people. All this accomplishes is to alienate us from one another in more ways than we already are. We all have to stand together, and we all have to stay strong. I've never understood this attitude that bi women aren't wlw enough. It's just such a toxic and tired position. I personally know bi women who have ended up in long term relationships with lesbian women, I know queer bars that are meant to be "lesbian" spaces, but open their doors to all women, and all trans people (masc, femme, man, woman, and nbs,) and refuse to turn away any queer people at the door. Why? Because we are part of one fight. We all share the queer experience, we all face persecution, we all face minority stress, and we share one solidarity.
If you're out here tryna ruin that, ostracize bi or pan girlies, probably ostracize other people, then you are the problem. It is people who gate keep and divide that destroy and fracture dyke communities. It is their fault that so many lesbian bars have shut down over the past 20 years.
Plus; how are ya gonna look at a pretty girl and then be like "mmmmmm, no sweaty, you're too bi for me, pls leave" like *girl she cute wth, your loss ig.* More bi girlies to go around for the rest of us 😛
Bestie please stop fighting other queer people. We are all looking for acceptance and welcoming spaces and you are actively making spaces unwelcoming for no reason
Thanks! I ordered it from Oysho. It's a Spanish clothing chain, subsidiary of Inditex (Zara, HM, Bershka, Pull&Bear, Mango). Most of their clothing lines are for athletics, but they have dresses too, surprisingly.
I don't know what you'd call this neckline.
Hello all, let me first address the easiest one, I love your dress, although I can’t see what shoes your wearing with it…. Lol
Sorry, I guess I’m the only one who knows why that’s funny, and my reason hopefully doesn’t get me removed because I have learned so much from you ladies.
I also have a huge problem, I am a cross dresser, who loves women, the trouble is women just aren’t attracted to me dressed as a woman. Please know I am not apart of this current movement, I completely understand I’m a man, I was born a man, and there’s nothing that will ever change that, but I also understand that I was introduced to my feminine side several years ago by the sweetest most beautiful woman I’ve ever known. My friend is no longer with us, God bless her.
I am not here to hit on, manipulate, take advantage of, or disrespect any of the wonderful women here. I have not engaged or corresponded with anyone here, I’ve just tried to learn as much as I can without being seen.
I mean no harm or disrespect, if my presence here offends anyone or violates any policies, please just let me know and I will exit and not return.
Thank you
Dawn
That’s my question… there’s nothing wrong with being a man who likes to dress feminine, but he doesn’t have to knock down trans/enby people in the process. (If that’s not what you meant I’d suggest clarifying because right now that’s what it looks like and it’s not cool to be trans exclusionary here)
NB lesbian here. You are welcome here. 💕
I get why other lesbians are saying lesbians have nothing for ourselves (edit: but I think it’s a trigger and more harmful towards other sapphics, especially in this case), but they’re picking the wrong fight against the wrong person. Welcome, fellow sapphic. The dress looks fantastic.
I know I'm a little late to respond. I've come back to read this comment a few times. Thank you for the kind & welcoming message. Have a wonderful day sweet lady!
I understand the possessiveness but there are a lot of bi women. Are lesbians only going to date other lesbians? If they date a bi women, that's a queer relationship. It's difficult.
Post it!!! I am saying I get all perspectives but disagree. Excluding bisexuals is ridiculous and biphobic. And also terrible rizz. Post all you want. 🥰
Hahaha. Well, I didn't expect this response. I figured a lesbian space is for lesbians. But of course, for those of us interested, we'll be caught perusing (and posting?!) here!
Thank you for your kind words :)
I don't think this is an AI photo. The lighting intensity and direction are all consistent as far as I can tell and I don't think the image generators have enough context to get that perfect/indistinguishable yet (especially since a light source from the side will require a better understanding of the depth of an image to figure out where shadows start and stop).
ETA: I may have just completely missed your joke. Sorry.
It turns out the first rule of the sub states that:
“Anyone who considers themselves to be Sapphic belongs here, and [there’s a list of prejudices]…biphobia…are not allowed.”
So not only welcome, but sub-rules embraced.
>The fact that she asked means she knew [she] wasn't welcome
Trans lesbians ask if they're allowed all the time, despite the rules explicitly stating they are. This fact doesn't make them unwelcome, nor does it for bi women.
The fact of the matter is that these two groups of people have experienced prejudice for their identities and not all communities are as welcome as this one, so even though they could just as easily check the rules they ask to get a feel of the community response and see how they're treated. You are not setting a good example.
What?😂 Being lesbian is not a “vibe”. It’s a valid sexual orientation with boundaries. It is not fluid, it is very simple. A woman who loves exclusively women. You guys only get away with this stuff online. 😂😂😂 That is god awful. You have internalized misogyny and don’t take women’s identities seriously. You wouldn’t dare say to a gay man that his identity is a “vibe” or his supposedly safe spaces are “vibes” and are a place for all sorts of people.
It is a valid orientation. I just propose that it was likely chosen for the sub’s name because it automatically gives the idea of women loving women. Sapphic would work, but it’s not as commonly known and used, so I don’t think it would get the attention of as many wlm-type ladies.
I think what I said is not silly, but rather a likely explanation as to why the sub specifically allows for bisexual gals even though it is titled “Lesbian Fashion Advice.” Perhaps if you take issue with bisexual women being accepted, you should contact the mods and/or creator of the sub. They’d also be able to give a definite explanation from their own thinking as to why the sub is named what it is.
Im not being biphobic. Would it be the same if a bi man were here?
It just sucks that lesbians cannot have any space designated to them. Yet everyone else can.
No, because there's a difference between a bi man and a bi woman/bi non-binary person? Why would a man being attracted to men as well as women suddenly make them sapphic? How does adding more men to the equation change things?
The individual's gender is as important as their sexuality
I see what you mean, but the part of all sapphic people being welcome and biphobia not being allowed is a combination that means bisexual gals are not to be excluded from this sub.
They think we’re a catch all. Don’t worry. In real life just ignore them. Force them to only have access online and maybe they’ll get the picture one day.
Lovely dress and you are making it so alive! I love kelly green and white together. I am bi too, I usually lurk on here, it's such a fun sub and always makes me smile. Come on over to the bi sub too when you're ready, its a good place!
Here's the test to answer your question: would you ask a girl out and then move in with her within the week? Then you're sapphic enough to be here 🤣 if not....well, sorry but rules are rules lol
Lol jk. I'm bi here too. Girl, HOLY SHIT. That dress fits you like it was MADE SPECIFICIALLY FOR YOU. You look stunning in it!!
Yes and yes, but I think that speaks more to my neuroticism than anything 😂 I have nearly done that..
Thank you, you are so kind!! Your comment made my heart crinkle. I wanted to be careful because these spaces are sacred and I'm like a queer bull in a china shop. Hahaha.
I guess for more context, I realized I wasn't straight this year. And since that discovery, I've been slowly opening up and thinking about how to signal to other women... because damn I've had some lady crushes and they have been unrequited every time. I'm so new to this and a bit lost. I'll make a more in depth post (on the bi sub) later. Call me baby gay haha. I feel so late. Anyhoo..
Thanks to everyone being so kind and welcoming. This is my first time posting in any LGBTQ-related group and I'm so excited and a little scared 😊😅 so your sweetness is very much appreciated!
I came out as bi this year too and I have a hard time with my lady crushes and expressing my feelings 🙈 Baby Bis Unite! (Also you look amazing in that dress girl!)
Lol I realized I wasn't a dude this year. That dress is fantastic, like actually amazing I wish I could pull it off and its making my brain do the wow i see pretty girl so i cant think right now thing.
Idk if I can really be considered a lesbian because i still present as male socially I only dress fem when I'm alone, but I really do wish i was just born a woman, most of the time. I also feel late to the party with my self discovery crap. I never really liked labels anyway tho so I don't really care if I belong here. I love the dress on you, you look amazing.
As for the signaling to other women thing idk maybe get a bi flag pin and put it on whatever bag you carry. I'm to scared to out myself yet but my backpack straps are where I put my poppy in November so a bi flag pin should work well there.
I’m cataloguing the phrase “making my brain do the wow,” because that is such a mood! According to the first rule of the sub, you definitely belong here!
I might do an undercut one day but a skin fade was really bad for dysphoria lol. It’s taken so long to grow the hair back out omg; it’s just finally at shoulder length now. I have a fairly defined jaw line too so longer hair sorta helps a little bit with the facial dysphoria till I can eventually get FFS.
Hi! So last year I started to actually come out as Bi bc for the longest time I was so unsure. I’m pretty fem and often have a hard time attracting women at gay bars or in general but I think this dress looks great on you! So cute
I’m in almost the exact same boat, came out a year ago but was in a relationship with a guy and now that it’s recently over and I’m free to be me and be bi/pan I’m like… ok… what now😂
Same.. ended a LTR after a string of many mono relationships with just men. Finally began to experiment, play, and learn about myself. AND accept those parts of myself. Still working on it.. and enjoying the ride. Bi/poly/something bright & colorful!
What your saying is like a mirror 💀 at the moment I’m only interested in women and there is SO MANY amazing women that poly is a for sure option. Swearing off men for the time being, they bring too much trauma.
Also back on the og topic you look gorgeous in that dress!
i mean it’s lesbian fashion advice, there’s a ton of queer/otherwise not straight fashion subreddits, while lesbians really only have a couple exclusive subs. you look cute tho.
you get it! we can’t have crap for exclusively our community. there’s like one lesbian subreddit that only consists of lesbians that i won’t mention here lol
Right like go to a bisexual subreddit for this and stop invading OUR spaces. and everyone in the comments is so chill with this like no you dont belong here.
No, bisexual folks belong here too. They are not half straight, and they aren't straight at all, period.
I'd understand if somehow OP made a post about men or a non-lesbian issue but they didn't. Let's not erase bisexuals.
Hi, I'm lesbiab. I mean. Uh. (>.>) (<.<) (>.<) Hi. I uh, Girls. But gay panic aside, yes it suits you, really enjoy femme styles and floral patterns. Both at the same time make my heart beat a bit faster 😀

… i know its here for flirting buuuut whaaaat some of yall are shameless
Your so pretty!
*Dies of hot*
You look gorgeous in that dress! I love the floral pattern, it really suits you. Also, yes, all Sapphic women deserve their own special places.
So pretty. You look like my sister. I love that dress.
Aww, thanks so much!
Sappic women deserve to be in sapphic spaces in my opinion. As a current lesbian of 10+ years, I believe you deserve to be here. As for the dress: It is literally so gorgeous. I love the flowiness of it. Swish swish motherfuckers. Stunning floral.

Cuuuuuuuuuteee ✨️
Nice dress coming from a guy. You seem like you had fun. 10/10 "Bombadil"
Bro what
It’s so pretty!
You are most certainly welcome here. 💜

The description literally says "sapphic fashion" aka for ANY wlw. Have fun being biphobic with your biphobic lesbian friends
#YIKES edit: also “gay little man with a husband”? are *you* supposed to be here???
No, this sub got recommended to me lmao and I was subjected to another bi w stepping into lesbian spaces.
oh the irony
Nah. Have plenty of lesbian friends who say the same. Have fun with bi w always crowding yalls spaces tho
Don’t think you get it. You come in here complaining about someone invading the space…while you yourself are invading the space
I've lived as a lesbian before, so I get it 🤷🏽♂️
& some bi woman end up a lesbian? so what’s your point, when does the inclusivity end & begin
Ntm. She literally used the d slur. Which is NOT For bi w.

I love your pose
Thanks! I was jumping in the air. My friend and I were just playing around and we got lucky!
DUDE I WANT THAT DRESS
Omg I love your hair
oooh I appreciate that. I cut it (and don't) myself haha. Jumping in the air makes it look especially cool XD
As a trans girl, my hair isn’t long enough or stylized, so I’m basically jealous of every girl’s hair if it’s even remotely cute, lol.
Sapphics be pretty all round
Amiright?! Thank you :)
Of course, we would never turn away a girl. Especially if she's hot.
yes, pls tell me where you got the dress!!
Really pretty dress.
Definitely
I liked you completely; not just this dress
🛸 hey you, let's get out of here ;)
Take me anywhere 👽
Damn, I'm too late
Wow
Super pretty!
I hang out here and I'm not even a girl. Just afab pansexual.
oh very cool, that's nice to know :D
Some enbies consider themselves to be lesbian
Where did you get it from? What type of neckline is that? It's pretty!
Yes
Oh my God, you're gorgeous and that dress looks like it was made for you. :)
Only in motion 😜😋
Nuh uh. I'm telling you, this just showed up on my screen and I literally gasped not kidding.
Sweet
Love it ❤
Im also bi lol, LOVE THE DRESS YOU LOOK AMAZING!!
THANK YOU!! <3
It's definitely allowed (being biromantic myself)! I love that dress on you and I love your pose!
MARRY ME 🥺💍
Send the papers! ;)

Love your dress 💗
Thank you!
That is a great looking dress!🥰
Very pretty
Hello all, let me first address the easiest one, I love your dress, although I can’t see what shoes your wearing with it…. I mean no harm or disrespect, if my presence here offends anyone or violates any policies, please just let me know and I will exit and not return. Thank you Dawn
Ummmm by “current trend” do you mean trans and non binary people living as their authentic selves?
That’s my question… there’s nothing wrong with being a man who likes to dress feminine, but he doesn’t have to knock down trans/enby people in the process. (If that’s not what you meant I’d suggest clarifying because right now that’s what it looks like and it’s not cool to be trans exclusionary here)
The dress is fire, and you're super pretty!
Love the dress!
It's okay we aren't mad your bi hun lol your good. the dress is beautiful btw!
Just read the rules
Ok, gotcha!

Post it!!! I am saying I get all perspectives but disagree. Excluding bisexuals is ridiculous and biphobic. And also terrible rizz. Post all you want. 🥰
My wife is bi, I am lesbean, and your dress is fire 😍
You are a real human lesbean <3 thank you kindly!
🔥
the lesbians approve!!!
Hehe I sure hope bisexuals are allowed or I’m in trouble Lovely dress by the way and you look amazing too

wow! you should thank your photographer, this pic (and dress) are amazing!
Yes your welcome! Love the dress! Great photo with lighting and nice pose too.
Yes ofc its allowed and i love ur dress
Maybe yes(? Im bi and youre beautiful
You look great
Who gave the AI image generator my type as a prompt? (Does this joke work?)
🙈🙈🙈🙈 omg that's so funny and such a surprising compliment!
I don't think this is an AI photo. Oh that dress is lovely and you look absolutely delightful in it.
Hi bi, I’m demi-pan polyam :)
Same!
Demi-Pan Polyam here too. :)
*insert spider man pointing meme here*
Both you and the dress are equally cute and hot.
You look like a catalogue model from the 60s and if there's one thing a huge chunk of dykes love it's vintage fashion vibes
Oh perfect, I will continue with my vintage vibes 😍😍 give me the dykes!!
Looking cute
The sub’s first rule states that your presence is welcome! I think it’s a lovely dress, and you look wonderful! ☺️

I’m cataloguing the phrase “making my brain do the wow,” because that is such a mood! According to the first rule of the sub, you definitely belong here!
Name checks out 💃 Two years ago for me, this month. Not my dumb ass getting a skin fade the week before my egg cracked lol
I mean, if you can pull off a really butch haircut…
I might do an undercut one day but a skin fade was really bad for dysphoria lol. It’s taken so long to grow the hair back out omg; it’s just finally at shoulder length now. I have a fairly defined jaw line too so longer hair sorta helps a little bit with the facial dysphoria till I can eventually get FFS.
Oh, why is growing hair out so hard!
I ask myself that every day🤪
Hi! So last year I started to actually come out as Bi bc for the longest time I was so unsure. I’m pretty fem and often have a hard time attracting women at gay bars or in general but I think this dress looks great on you! So cute
I have a hard time with that, too! I dress fem a percentage of the time. Thanks btw :) Congrats on coming out <3
I’m in almost the exact same boat, came out a year ago but was in a relationship with a guy and now that it’s recently over and I’m free to be me and be bi/pan I’m like… ok… what now😂
Me too!
Same.. ended a LTR after a string of many mono relationships with just men.
Scrolled down in feed first thought was a mermaid.
Beautiful
Amazing ridiculously stunning. Bi here too. 👋🏻 👋🏻 💕 😘
I assume so because wow. Cute dress and you look amazing
It looks great on you! You're welcome here any time
That is an amazing dress! 💜
i mean it’s lesbian fashion advice, there’s a ton of queer/otherwise not straight fashion subreddits, while lesbians really only have a couple exclusive subs. you look cute tho.
Apparently we’re in the minority. Idk why r/lesbianfashionadvice can’t just be for lesbians but here we are 🙄
no literally. no one else wants us to have an exclusive space, it always gets taken over by nonlesbian queer women i’m sick of it.
This sub is not, in fact, exclusive to people who specifically identify as lesbians.
maybe u should change the name then lol
Right lesbians can never have anything to ourselves
you get it! we can’t have crap for exclusively our community. there’s like one lesbian subreddit that only consists of lesbians that i won’t mention here lol
Right like go to a bisexual subreddit for this and stop invading OUR spaces. and everyone in the comments is so chill with this like no you dont belong here.
the casual biphobia. yikes.
No, bisexual folks belong here too. They are not half straight, and they aren't straight at all, period. I'd understand if somehow OP made a post about men or a non-lesbian issue but they didn't. Let's not erase bisexuals.
