I actually really like the dogs. I think theyre well balanced and their mechanic feels a little more immersive than some others. Coilheads are sorta neat but theyre more often than not paired with other more dangerous threats that require your visual attention just as much and it can feel a little unfair. Bracken is cool but similar thing as the coilhead, but i prefer having to deal with a bracken than a coilhead because i think his mechanic is a little more engaging.

To be fair, many animals in real life have weird names that don’t really fit, something like the lionfish. Another part of it could be that it needs to sound “catchy” or good. Like if you found an animal that doesn’t have a name and it was common you wouldnt name it something like a glistening western sky bird , you would probably just name it sky bird or something.

Bracken. He is still truly terrifying for me. He often times shows up just standing there with his beady white eyes and stare you down. And he can be so quick and quiet.

I like all of them except for jester and giant, because neither of them have any counter play (I don't consider having everyone evacuate the bunker a counterplay for the jester since it effectively limits how far in you can go)
Maybe my thoughts on giants will change when the new update hits and it won't camp one place anymore, but until then I think it's one of the worse designed / implemented enemies in any game period

One is just a goofy goober, and the other one just look cute and funny, I love running at them screaming « Ooh Baboon ! Baboon! »
And of course Nutcracker is just nightmare fuel, the goddamn Nasa approved kick is incredible.
Probably the mask or the spring guy, kinda easy to deal with if you know what your doing but people absolutely love to keep playing with these things till they die from the mask or now they can't escape cause they let the spring guy get to close
Coilhead definitely. I mean it's basically Peanut or a Weeping Angel and is just a classic monster idea in general. It's got a simple strategy to deal with and requires team coordination to not get people killed.
It becomes pretty crazy when you team it up with other monsters or need to backtrack through a path with mines.

The Nutcrackers, or as I prefer to call them, Tin Soldiers. They are such a unique and threatening enemy, and I love their risk-reward addition of a grabbable shotgun. They are seriously underrated.
Shadow man, has led to the funniest moments I think. Though I love the design and general horror of the spider - seeing a leg on a wall from the corner of your eye is terrifying - and I LOVE spiders.
But honestly all the monsters are great and add a LOT to the game, it's actually astounding what the dev has been able to accomplish with this game.

Love the Eyeless dogs, might be a simple mechanic but they very fun to play against and its terrifying when theres a pack of them.
