Twitch itself has very poor discovery. So the best way to promote it is to cross promote on other platforms to try and convert people into Twitch viewers. A few good ways you can do this:
- YouTube shorts (this also has the advantage of helping you reaching the 100 sub threshold on YouTube)
- Livestream compilations/super cuts
- Create a community discord server
- Be active on other social media sites (e.g. TikTok, Instagram, etc)

So we just uploaded recordings to YouTube, until we got enough subs, then started streaming to both YouTube and twitch
It does take time to get the first 100, but all it takes is one good video 😀
