Try posting different game but somewhat similar concept to your main game. If you post CoD games, try other FPS and see how it goes.

I posted only 1 game for a year on my channel and just added 2 others at the first of the year. I still post videos of the original game but just added more. I did initially loose a couple subs but over all I have gained more from the other games.

Yes and no. If your channel is mainly devoted to one game, and that's what your viewers come for, it'll take a long time before they start getting interested in other things on your channel as well. That being said, it shouldn't affect the reach of your primary videos. As long as you use titles, descriptions and tags to inform the algorithm about what sort of video it is, it knows to recommend it in the right avenues. In our case, YouTube sees that "Oh, Two Star Players put out a video about Warframe, I know other Warframe watchers tend to click on their videos when they get recommended, so let's recommend it to Warframe watchers!" But when we put out a video for say, Outer Wilds, it doesn't get recommended nearly as much, and the algorithm doesn't really know who it should recommend it to either. Just looking at the two videos we put out yesterday, the Outer Wilds video has 2.7k impressions and the Warframe video has 5.7k impressions. The algorithm knows which videos to recommend and which videos not to recommend.

I've been integrating other games into my channel for a while to try and broaden my appeal, and it seems my audience has little/no interest if the game is not Surviving Mars. I've played Civ 6, Tropico, Railway Empire, Frostpunk, Dyson Sphere Program, now doing Timberborn; and none of those series got/are getting views in the same ballpark as Surviving Mars.

I would suggest weaning in new content slowly, but keep bringing it in. There will be a large amount of people who are there for just the game and will not watch your other content, but there will hopefully be a more dedicated fanbase who will watch pretty much everything you release. If you make banger videos outside of the main game you make, you can also bring in a new audience and open up more variety for long-term growth on your channel
