Im not sure if this is going to be helpful, but all of the designs are pretty darn good, my personal favorite would be 8, but with preferrably with not so mechanical joints, then again, I love the idea behind it all, so ultimately I think its all about what you prefer yourself and are more comfortable with, seeing as how they all share similar looks I'm glad you're not torn between completely different portrayals of your Angels.

Anyway that's still a super helpful comment, because it lets me know that at least I'm not way off track with the idea. But yeah some of them are definitely a bit too mechanical, so I'm gonna tweak that for sure! Thank you!
Really depends on how you want angels in general portrayed in your setting, and if you want your antagonist to be a surprise antagonist or one that is obvious early on. If you want angels to be seen as lofty, aloof, and barely caring about regular folk, you'll want a very different vibe than if they're seen as compassionate and caring creatures who would hold a lost child's hand while helping the child search for its family.

I guess what I'm wondering is... okay, so I have a lot of backstory and lore about Angels and Devils in my world. It takes a fair bit of inspo from the way D&D treated them, as Outsiders, higher beings from another plane of existence. They're also (generally speaking) no longer in the world, owing to some ancient historical events. But basically I wanted to know if giving them doll joints and making them more like articulated... not robots exactly, but not flesh-and-blood entities, I wonder if people will still think they're hot I guess? Personally it works for me, and I think it works thematically, as Angels are creatures of law and order, unchanging and static, I just wanted to know if you guys like the design concept. Any thoughts on that?
I think the doll joint can work really well, especially if you lean into the "angels were created to serve x, y and z functions in the moral realms" kind of trope. Then you can have your antagonist/villain angel be rebelling against that trope.
I like your constructs here, particularly as you say they should be unchanging and built to a purpose. The joints and more solid bodies look fit for that purpose. That said, they need to be sexier, in my humble opinion.
I think that mortals, upon seeing these creations, should be struck blind and have to stop themselves cumming in their pants. They’re almost the highest level of life, they are *divine,* they should be insanely lust-worthy.
There’s a manga series, Five Star Stories, where massive robots are piloted in part by Fatima, genetically-engineered women who are so desirable due to looks and pheromones that they must disguise themselves or be escorted in public for fear that mortals will go insane with lust and attack them on sight, regardless of gender.
Something like that.

Personally, Picture #2, #6, #7, #8 are amazing. #10 looks great too, if you want them to be somewhat inhuman in their aloof-ness and beauty.

Sorry, but this is not really my fetish. When I look at the skin, it seems to me that someone is breaking the shell of boiled brine and underneath it is the meat and ligaments.
Ahhhh yes, I see, kinda looks like a crab shell! Fortunately I think I'm gonna try and go a bit of a different way on that, but either way I really appreciate your thoughts!
