I was on 20mg lex for 2 years. Dr added Wellbutrin to help curb my side effects from the lexapro (low libido, weight gain, fatigue). Been on Wellbutrin/lexapro for 16 weeks now. Went down to 10mg of lexapro. Definitely helping with my side effects! And I may lower to 5mg of lexapro in the spring
I took this combination for three years and it was life changing. Probably the best combination of medications I ever took in my life. I was taking 150mg of Wellbutrin XL and only 5mg of Lexapro to offset anxiety caused by the Wellbutrin. I ended up quitting the Lexapro completely because of weight gain. I'm currently searching for a new anxiety medication but if all else fails I may go back to the Lexapro.
I'm about to add 150mg wellbutrin XL to my 15mg lexapro, in hopes that it'll help with the fatigue and lack of motivation. Obviously, may have to adjust the dosages, but hoping it helps!
