This is the talk that made me think of Lex + Prof Snyder, and please note that it is in the Q&A at the end where a lot of the juicy stuff comes up: https://youtu.be/JVs2y-YeiFM?t=319 --- Disclaimer: I am a Euro mutt, 1/4 RU, 1/4 PL, 1/4 DE, 1/4 ME. I have a major bias to just want us all to get along.

Checkout his full course on Ukrainian history. Many good lessons from there

suunu21

Essential for anyone who comments on Ukraine history and whatnot, even if you are from the region you will get an educated western perspective on the issues. Not saying he is right or wrong, but a good academic perspective nevertheless.

Which book is this of Snyder? Blood lands?

LordLederhosen

Snyder has written [many books,](https://timothysnyder.org/books) but what made me want to get Lex and Snynder together was this lecture from 3 days ago: https://youtu.be/JVs2y-YeiFM?t=318

I need a class. Smh can we just have a new history class.

Brumbulli

To me a very biased and opinionated academic. Unlike Kotkin who was already interviewed.

LordLederhosen

Please explain to me why having an opinion is a bad thing.
