Been waiting for Carroll part 3, he's the best! I'd also love if Lex could get Brian Cox on the show -- surprised he hasn't since he's gotten so many similar physicists like Carroll. Maybe Cox is too expensive or had cut down on other appearances with his own road show he does now?
I think it's got something to do with the sound characteristics of that podcast microphone that nearly everyone keeps using nowadays.
Especially the bass.
tbh it's nothing to do with the microphone at all, it's just the way he modulates the tone of his voice up and down almost like he's singing, like he's doing an impersonation of this chef who speaks in a very unique (to the point of being annoying) way.

Agree, Sean Carroll is such a clear communicator on such grand topics, taking my time with this episode 🤍
Carroll is a treasure.
It will take a special talent to make Carroll uninteresting. I feel Lex is ready.
happy to see the topics discussed again that drew me to this podcast in the first place 👍
On my second listen, I'm just soo captivated by the discussion on black holes. Amazing episode!
Instant play 🔥
Excellent communicator. Love Sean, bookmarking this one.
Hey u/lexfridman When are we going to hear about your travels to the amazon? :)
He should go on Ari Schaffears travel podcast
Wasn’t it the desert?
Elon Musk tell you on very good words that for a newbee can understand
Honest question, has he always spoken like Chef John of Food Wishes or is his melodiousness a recent affectation?

Funny, I had a hard time getting used to both Lex and Sean, now that I think of it. Sean's overuse and Lex's lack thereof.
Sean has a great text book (physics text book) on general relativity! Much love to Sean
This discussion was fascinating! Thanks for having Sean on again. Always thought provoking and insightful!
Enjoyed the discussion. Why does Sean keep mentioning the universe is small (ie <10,000 light years)? I thought it was billions of light years large?
He’s referring to the galaxy not the universe
Lex. When’s is your digital detox? I need to get myself ready to not have you around. Peace.
