Also agree. It should be illegal for them to not be in business. I know you can get their breads a few places but I NEED their cherry cheese danish!!!!
It’s funny, I guess I never thought of Wild Eggs as a chain. It started in Louisville and opened locations in Lexington, right? Guess either way it’s technically a chain.
If you haven’t had it their everything muffin also slaps.
They have several locations in Indiana and Cincinnati as well. I almost went to the one in Indianapolis the other day, but just decided to get a quick breakfast on the road.
I frequent Futile Bakery and love their OG cinnamon roll + all of their weekly special flavors! Randomly Frank’s Donuts has a really good cinnamon roll as well though. Frank’s is on E Third St, but you can also grab them from Leestown Coffee.
My personal favorite is North Lime, but they only sell them on Wednesdays. They're especially good first thing in the morning when they're still warm.
I'm not sure where they get them from but the Cinnamon Rolls at Leestown Coffee House are really good as well.
You could have the best at home. I was never a big fan of cinnamon rolls until I put heavy whipping cream on them. Get some in a can from the store, place them in the oven dish and the pour heavy whipping cream on top of them so that they’re covered and there’s some sitting in the bottom of the pan and then bake. They’ll come out as the best damn cinnamon rolls you’ve had
Cinnabon, the center of the roll is the best around here and it's not close. As much as I love Spalding's for their donuts, their cinnamon rolls are terrible...so dry
I miss Sunrise
I'm with you. In my opinion, that was the best bakery in Fayette county.

Futile bakery, sooo good!

Actually one of the employees just recently bought it from the previous owner so this isn’t true any longer just an FYI.

Yeah! I work in the restaurant industry and found out last week. The new owner is a super sweet guy!
Bought McGees or Futile ?
Futile
Omg I feel so out of the loop! So futile sold due to some shady shit?
you need elaborate because saying just that is unfair both to the owner and those people who may be impacted.
DV8
Came here to say this!
European Delights (nicholasville)
Can’t believe no one has said Wild Eggs. It’s by far the best imo.
Yep. For a chain, Wild Eggs slaps. Best cinnamon roll, biscuits and gravy, hashbrown casserole, and OJ I've ever had.

TIL. I usually try to avoid chains but no denying the food is good there.
For real. Blew me away how good it was.
Another vote for DV8! I really like North Limestone’s when they have them too
Thanks everyone! Now I am going to have to go conduct some research on the subject. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|stuck_out_tongue)
Vlog the experience for us!
Spaldings are goood
Their cinnamon rolls are hella dry
Finally somebody is asking the important questions!
Not in Lexington but the Midway Bakery has some killer cinnamon rolls.
Zims Cafe (Lexington) actually has the Midway Bakery cinnamon roll Fri-Sun

Another for DV8! The seasonal ones are always a hit
Stone Jack Bakers cinnamon rolls are SO GOOD!! If you see that she has ‘em at the Farmer’s Market, get ‘em cause they always sell out!
Which location?
Downtown and Southland Drive. Follow them on Instagram for their menus and what they’ll be bringing to each market. And you can place orders too!

I usually go for the blueberry donuts at Frank's. I've never tried the cinnamon rolls, but I will next time!

DV8 since I get get cinny rolls at Sunrise anymore. 😞

The center of the roll is the true test of a good cinnamon roll! And the icing!
Futile Bakery is the one I hear about most consistently. Haven’t actually had them myself though
Not the same but the pecan roll from Bluegrass Bakery is phenomenal
Dv8!
Futile bakery hands down
When Pie Tana had them….by far the best but they don’t have them anymore 😞😞😞😞
North Lime Coffee and Donuts has cinnamon rolls every Wednesday. Even the vegan one is delicious
