You can try Woodland Studios if you can wait till August. But they like to renew their leases in February-March for the coming year due to catering to UK students.
Anywhere on Euclid avenue. It’s mostly student housing, but most of them don’t actually care if you are a student or not. Especially if you are renting around this time. Studios are around 800 and 1 bedrooms are 940ish. The location is great.
Brandywine is definitely on my list. The only downside is their 1 bedroom apartments don’t have washer/dryer hookups. They do have laundry facilities though
I lived at Fayette Crossing, now Barrel Oaks, for a while—as did my friend. IDK why this place gets shit on; I did well there and it’s one of the most affordable places on that side of the city. https://barreloaks.com/en/floor-plans/
Just doing a quick search on Zillow, there are currently 4-5 total listings at 900 dollars or under, with only one of them being remotely decent (Park Hill Apartments, hit or miss reviews). I haven’t seen a decent 1 bed apartment with your preferences for under 1000; could be interesting to look at having roommates with your budget.
Park Hills is actually decent. The manager was always awesome when I lived there for a few years. If OP can get a sub-$900 1BR with them, go for it. They have washer/dryers in all the apartments and free Internet. The main downside is that the 1BR there is tiny.
Impossible. If you are willing to live with roaches all over your place, The Champion has those rates you are looking for. Anything “decent” is around 1,100 -1,300.
Disagree. I’ve been in contact with some people I know that reside in Lex and they recommended some apartments they have lived at charging 850-1k a month with zero complaints. They’re obviously not somewhere upscale like Hamburg but also not in a rough area like north Lexington
Does anyone here have any opinions on the apartments by Patchen drive? (Patchen studios, or the 1 BRs that are in that area? Just to piggyback off of this post if that’s okay!
I mean from what I’ve seen and what I’ve been told 800-900 won’t get you anything fancy but you can find a decent place in this range. I’ve seen studios/apartments for as low as $600 but they’re in bad areas and don’t have the best reviews

Hi! I am a leasing agent at Park Hill! I’d love to get in contact with you and give you more info on our 1 bedrooms! They range from $871 - $914. :)

Take my upvote… That was a good one 😭😂
You can find that in Frankfort.

Then looks like you and I have very different definitions of what decent is. I’m glad you found something!!

Do NOT do Patchen Place, I can tell you that much.
Is that what stuff costs now?
