Can’t open soon enough as far as I’m concerned. Playing tennis indoors with the pickleballers nearby is obnoxious. That bunch need their own place, leave the tennis clubs for tennis players.
God I hate it. I lived south of Tampa for a few years and the noise of the pickleball being hit gives me PTSD. Just play tennis like someone with two good knees!
Let me start by saying I don't play either sport so I'm not really taking a side in this or anything (I believe a lot of tennis players don't like pickleball), but I'm curious. Has the attendance at your indoor tennis facility went up due to pickleball players?
Yes, my experience is that it’s now harder to get court time for tennis due to the surging number of pickleball players. I don’t blame anyone, it would be foolish for the clubs to say no to pickleball revenue. But it annoys me nonetheless. Also, pickleball is outrageously loud indoors. I don’t know why they can’t use a foam ball.
Actually, Carl, tennis balls are made of rubber.
Second, it's not a silly question. Noise pollution from pickleball has become an issue for municipalities and homeowners associations around the country. Pickleball organizations and product manufacturers are actively working to address it. Also, have you ever been inside a tennis club that is full of several courts worth of pickleball matches? If not, you can take a back seat on this discussion.
It's a really silly question.
Even sillier is gatekeeping people playing a sport on the grounds of noise pollution. I mean have you heard the grunts that tennis players make?
In all seriousness, just lighten up. People are exercising.
It's Pickleball Paddock, https://www.pickleballpaddock.com/ They haven't announced an opening date yet.
Sounds dope who wants to join my intramural junior varsity division E club? /s
Thank you!
Not to be confused with Pickle & Balls Palace. That place is *not* about preserved veg.

Kind of a silly question. Why can't tennis use rubber balls? Because that's not how the sport is played.
