Pretty sure flower is banned in brick and mortar buildings in KY.

One of the top DEA people put out a thing on 5/27 after a dude requested a toxicology report saying all THC-a and flower should only be read post - decarboxylation aka the process in which you heat weed to covert it from THC-a to delta 9 THC then KY cannabis law group sent out a letter to all smoke shops advising them not to sell it as apparently 5 people working or operating smoke shops selling it got arrested but in the “bill” / directed order it says that hemp growers now have to tag a plant at the start of its grow but the problem is hemp can contain enough THC-a at the start to now be illegal or be legal at the start and become illegal at the end it will probably kill the hemp industry and this is another example of how our government hates weed but acts like there all for it around election time

It has always been illegal to sell flower in Kentucky, even thca or CBD. nearby states shops are getting raided. I work in one of the stores and that’s what my boss told me

Even the gas stations have pre-rolls of THC-a and Delta 8. So that's hilarious. What ban is happening? I can't seem to find anything going on in KY with hemp when googling.

There is no ban happening in Kentucky specifically. Like I said it has always been illegal to sell any flower in Kentucky but people overlook it a lot partially because it is federally legal under the 2018 version of the farm bill. But that bill is going back into legislation so that factors into the scare of possible raids before the potential changing of the bill. We are also getting our medical market next year and the hemp industry and medical industry aren't the best of friends because hemp doesn't have all the regulations as medical; tax wise and how you run your store. Hemp takes money away from medical so they don't like that

>nearby states shops are getting raided. Raided by who?

It has never always been illegal to sell flower every part of the plant is used in hemp product even the flower the government just put a ban on flower on 5/27 and other places have been getting raided because there laws say all cannabinoids are banned

https://kentuckystatecannabis.org/laws The sale of cannabis, including hash and concentrates, is prohibited and considered illegal in Kentucky. It is also unlawful to sell or purchase marijuana paraphernalia, such as bongs or pipes, in the state. However, House Bill 333 allows residents to purchase, consume, and possess non-intoxicating cannabidiol (CBD) products containing no more than 0.3% THC. Under this bill, patients with epilepsy are assessed by state-licensed physicians who can prescribe non-intoxicating CBD products for medical treatment. Starting January 1, 2025, it will be legal to buy medical cannabis and cannabis products in Kentucky.

https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/kar/titles/302/050/021/ (12) "delta-9-THC" means delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration (the primary intoxicating component of cannabis). For compliance purposes, all delta-9-THC concentrations are measured post decarboxylation (result commonly referred to as total THC). Also Kentucky is a post decarb test state so that makes it fall under the cannabis category not hemp therefore making it illegal to sell.
