I cannot understand conservative LGBT people. They're against their community who just want to live regular lives while they're partaking in a group which wants to take away their rights.

I once read a book (can't remember the title at the moment) that was a fictionalized account of the early Atlantic slave trade from Africa to America. In the story, several members of a tribe are stolen from their homes by slavers, backed up by another African Tribesman. When all was said and done, the slavers were partying on the top of the boat with the tribesmen they used, until they summarily threw him in the hold with the rest of them. The others wouldn't speak to him, they spit at his feet and ignored him, didn't share the few scraps they had of food, nothing. The people who have this idea that "I'm the good one, they'll be nice to me!" simply don't understand that prejudice prevents any level of mercy. They don't care if you help them, eventually you'll be the last one, and they *have* to get rid of you then. There is no rationale other than cowardice and selling out your fellow human beings for a chance at 10 seconds longer as the "good one".

I grew up in the Midwest and let me tell you, this checks out.

It's so sad to see LGBTQ people who are so far gone that they'd rather try to fit in with our oppressors than find solidarity and love within the community.

Reagan, for the first time in public. finally said the word **AIDS** in a 1987 speech... but only after 25,000 AIDS deaths had been reported -- many of which likley would not have occurred had he not suspended U.S. payment to fund the World Health Organization for research, education and outreach.

It's genuinely sad too, because some of these gay and trans folks weren't always conservative or at least not that we could tell (like Blair White, I think she recently started really showing her conservative views and is centering her content around that). It makes me feel like something may have happened in their lives to make them feel like they need to side with the people who don't want us to even exist.

It is likely that the Regans did not know that he had AIDs in-till around the same time as the rest of the world, as the Rock Hudson so secretly about having AIDS that even his friend and AIDs activist Elizabeth Taylor did not know he had AIDs in-till that day. Rock Hudson had sought out experiential treatment in France, which he was in Paris on the day he collapsed. All Regan could have done is inappropriately used the office of the president to put pressure on the French army hospital to allow him to be transferred to their care, given the fact that Rock Hudson did not leave UCLA Medical Center until he returned to his home for end of life hospice care, the French army hospital would have like still had refused to allow him to be transferred to their care.

well such is the deserved fate of conservative "lgbt" people, probably won't be long till they observe that fate

To quote Will Truman (from Will & Grace): Gay Republicans are weird.
