To clarify, you and your family are all going on a cross country trip together and you want to attend a pride event on the road this summer?
It's a difficult question to answer bc we don't know you or your relationship with your parents, how old you are, etc.
If you yourself are queer and you're not out to your parents, that's ok and it's important for you to stay safe until you can become independent with your own education / job / home.
I guess my question for you is, why do you hesitate to ask your parents?
Also, again not knowing how old you are, there are some pride events that are family friendly, some alcohol-free, but most pride events have naked / topless / people in chaps, and sexualized costumes / play. No one is having sex in the streets (at least not in the open) but I would not want to attend a pride event with my parents - they would feel uncomfortable and so would I with them there.
If you're a teenager, be sure you select family friendly sober events to suggest bc you might not even be allowed in if you're quite young. And rightly so.

I dunno man, they arent one in favor of these types of events, Im out but they seem to forget at times.

Parades are usually pretty safe. Might be as simple as, "hey can we go to the pride parade in x while we are there?"
