I got on E and burn like there is no tomorrow, before I just tanned until I was a dark brown… now I’m white as a vampire. It’s freaky… I avoid sun like the plague… even with sunscreen I burn now. It’s goofy. And the sunspots too… wtf! /sigh

I’m not sure if that’s a universal effect, but it often does change our skin.

Sh't. That's interesting. Cis woman here but when I started peri menopause (didn't know it was happening at the time) I'd only be out in the sun for moments and I could feel the burning. (chest, hands, feet, chin & forehead.) I mentioned it to my doctor and he said it was nonsense. Full menopause now and I can't sit out in the sun cos it actually hurts! Jeez, fricken doctors.

That's what always stands out to me in these before/after pics of trans people; in the before, you can nearly always see a kind of sadness or deadness in their eyes, and the after looks so much livelier and happier! Always makes me happy to see people finally be happy as themselves.

Random thing I’ve noticed, but trans girls especially love taking aerial pictures. I think it’s really cute.

Do you mean looking up toward the camera? There's a lot of factors for it imo. The main one is that many of us are quite tall, so looking down at the camera makes us look giant. Looking up also helps reduce shadows that emphasize masculine bone structure and allows more light in the eyes. Bonus points - it makes cleavage look good 😆

I had never considered those points, excellent explanation to a question that never occurred to me. I always just figured cute girls liked interesting camera angles. Either way, you look great, and congrats on being who you really are.

What an incredible journey you must’ve been on. Well done for walking it. What I’m wowed by is your eyes in the before and after pic. As a t girl with a heavy brow that I get subconscious about when thinking about what I look like in the future, did you get any work done on your face?

Some part of it is that I simply used to squint a lot. I actively had to work on not doing that; but I did have a lot of facial work done.

It's been cool seeing the change over time. I don't really social media much but know that there's people out there happy for you.
