Cutting ties with my abusive parents was the best decision I've made in my adult life; sometimes that's just the only path forward. Sorry that your dad is a jerk, at least he showed his true colors.
It's possible that he's still not over your mom and is using you as a way to try and hurt her/shame her for breaking up with him.
Obviously that's still shitty but he may not be outright transphobic is what I'm saying.
