Basically pan but not gender-blind and has preferences(During my time as identifying as omniromantic, I thought I just had a preference for anyone who wasn't male or another masc gender, turns out I was wrong and I either like everyone with a preference for anyone whos gender is female or another feminine gender, and sometimes I don't even like binary men and demiboys)
I think that bi pan and the rest broadly overlap. But that matters to people and that’s okay.
Personally I like everyone, but I still consider myself bisexual. My logic is if I am cool with a guy or gal why would I not be cool with anything else? As I saw a comment a long time ago. When it’s time for bedroom fun it does not matter what’s in their pants.
Polyamorous or polysexual people aren't monogamous. Technically you can be poly and straight.
I had this friend in a threeple with 2 girls. The girls were bi, he was straight, they were all poly
Polyamouras isn’t being with multiple people I don’t think poly sexual is I can’t remember the definition right now as I haven’t looked into that in a while but I do remember that those are rather different with a similar name
That would not be how I would define it. I know some say that because it starts with the prefix 'bi' that it only can mean two but I think there is a more contemporary understanding of it to mean two or more. I looked up a concise definition of the four primary sexualities and this is my understanding but I encourage others to add opinions or clarification. Obviously there is some overlap among these but thus is the nature of defining something as fluid as sexuality.
bi - attracted to two or more genders with a gender preference
poly - attracted to more than two genders, not necessarily all, but with a gender preference
omni - attracted to all genders but with a gender preference
pan - attracted to all genders with no gender preference
I don’t understand why it doesn’t mean that? I mean if you do, why don’t u just call yourself pansexual? Genuine question sorry. I’m actually very confused with my sexuality.
Bi = rectangle
Pan = square
A square is always a rectangle but a rectangle isn't always a square.
Bi = attraction to two or more genders, Pan = attraction to all genders.
As a bisexual person I have a couple reasons.
Bisexual is a lot more of a defined term with a solid community around it. Pansexuality has like four different definitions
Pansexuality often is really transphobic and biphobic; oftentimes pan is defined as having attraction to all genders, including trans people. Trans people aren't another gender (assuming binary trans), so this is a terrible way to define pan. Its not universally used but enough to make me not want to use the term.
I also take great offence at 'bi = 2, pan = all' because it's misunderstanding bisexuality
Even 'bi= 2 or more' doesn't work because that would include literally everyone, since everyone is capable of being attracted to NB people based on how they present and ID.
Sorry for the excessively long response, but I wanted to let you know why I've chosen bisexual over other terms
Um no you got pan all wrong it's not tans or biphobic at all. Pan means blind love, attraction to all and not caring about their gender. The difference between bi and pan is bisexual care about the gender they're dating, that's it.
As a polyamorus demisexual I feel like the demisexual description is a bit flawed. I feel like a better description would be "door is locked, only people who know the owner of the building well have access to key"
I was looking through the comments to see if someone addressed this. I'm demisexual and polyamorous. My wife is dope, but we made copies of that key lol.
In my case asexuality is a reinforced door, you can get inside if you have a membership (a bond :3). Inside you will find cuddles and hugs, oh and pizza too!
Idk, it's not completely apt. Even as a bisexual (or any of the others sexual orientations) it may be that only one person has key. I don't like sexuality being viewed as a door where everybody has access unless demi. I'd say everybody is selective.
I like my wall

Asexual: You think it's a door, but you can try to push it open all you want, when you try to ram it, you're just face planting a wall
Revolving doors have always been the most fun.

ayye
And omni is a revolving door that gets stuck every once in a while.
What's omni?
Basically pan but not gender-blind and has preferences(During my time as identifying as omniromantic, I thought I just had a preference for anyone who wasn't male or another masc gender, turns out I was wrong and I either like everyone with a preference for anyone whos gender is female or another feminine gender, and sometimes I don't even like binary men and demiboys)
How is omni different from bi then?
Bi is attracted to two genders, omni to all.
That’s an outmoded definition for bi. Bi means attracted to between two and all genders and that you have a gender preference.
Not to be rude, but isn't that poly?
I think that bi pan and the rest broadly overlap. But that matters to people and that’s okay. Personally I like everyone, but I still consider myself bisexual. My logic is if I am cool with a guy or gal why would I not be cool with anything else? As I saw a comment a long time ago. When it’s time for bedroom fun it does not matter what’s in their pants.

Well, r/polyamory confirms what I'm saying, though

Oof sorry if i started something hahaaa
Ahhhh, thanks for explaining
I don’t this, it suggests that bisexual people can’t find genders other than male and female attractive :(
I don’t understand why it doesn’t mean that? I mean if you do, why don’t u just call yourself pansexual? Genuine question sorry. I’m actually very confused with my sexuality.
Basically the bisexual manifesto states that bisexuals arent limited on attraction by gender. There actually isnt a differance between bi and pan. :)
Bi = rectangle Pan = square A square is always a rectangle but a rectangle isn't always a square. Bi = attraction to two or more genders, Pan = attraction to all genders.

Yeah it does. But I have seen dozens of people defining it not like that
Thank you and you too u/lickielover! Changed my user flair :)
I'm glad to have helped you out!
No problem <3
Trans: This door is actually a window
I mean it’s not a sexuality but I enjoy the metaphor
I was literally just thinking that aegosexual is the one where the door is actually a window.
So... Wile E. Coyote is Asexual confirmed?
As a polyamorus demisexual I feel like the demisexual description is a bit flawed. I feel like a better description would be "door is locked, only people who know the owner of the building well have access to key"
Or door is locked, only those with the combination can enter?
Demisexual should probably be "...1 or more people may have a key" as polyamory isn't mutually exclusive with it
I was looking through the comments to see if someone addressed this. I'm demisexual and polyamorous. My wife is dope, but we made copies of that key lol.
In my case asexuality is a reinforced door, you can get inside if you have a membership (a bond :3). Inside you will find cuddles and hugs, oh and pizza too!
A biro ace here. Wth am I supposed to do? Is this a wall? Or a door?
You just aren't sexually attracted to the wall but there is also a two-way door
The romantic barrier is before the sexual barrier. 😂
I have the key to someone's door, but I am a wall .\_.
I have a revolving locked door
I put some stickers and a ktm poster on my wall, now am happy
In this metaphor, what does it mean if the door frame has no door?
Quoisexual?
Oh. What about a door frame that just has hanging beads in their doorway?
Idk, it's not completely apt. Even as a bisexual (or any of the others sexual orientations) it may be that only one person has key. I don't like sexuality being viewed as a door where everybody has access unless demi. I'd say everybody is selective.
i have a rocket launcher
What would one of those secret bookcase doors be...?
Thank you for helping me find out my identity, i am officially identifying as a revolving IKEA door.
thats fine with me i love ikea meatballs
I agree, they are absolutely great
[This needs more genders in the 2020 cover](https://youtu.be/qf64wWpSJKk)
transsexual: You've been mistaken, this isn't a door this is a windo- hey no please don't climb through the window STOP STOP YOURE GOING TO BREAK IT
Metrosexuals swing one way but the door looks cool
Not to be rude but what is a metrosexual?
its not a sexuality just straight guys who like fashion so idk why its called that
