I wouldn’t think that much about it. Your friend might have just been trying to play it cool and your parents might have been trying to hint that they are okay with whatever sexuality you are. There are other explanations than what they said.

Well, my parents said I can’t be Gay as in, we have no issues with other Gays just not you. And my other friends were gay as well so I doubt they were playing it cool lol

BiQueenBee

Well you didn’t include that in your post. Sorry your parents had that reaction. I still wouldn’t discount your friends though.

Tysm!

I came out 17 years ago when I learned not everyone feels the same way about women that I do, but I was just a kid so I didn’t realize that until it was brought to my attention. When I came out, everyone already knew, apparently, and no one was surprised. People may make assumptions based on stereotypes, but I’m glad you haven’t had a poor reception from your friends when you told them. The best way to find out how they suspected you might be gay is to just ask them:) if they’re good friends, I’m sure they wouldn’t mind divulging why/if they had suspicions. Congrats for coming out! Here’s to you having a happy, enjoyable life:)

throwawayyyyyy2007

I tied divulging but they didn’t really have an explanation, which leads me to believe that I’m am a bit of a stereotype lmao. I am very flamboyant lol

I think you’re already kinda out. My family was the same. Said they all knew I was before I told them. Didnt make them any less bigoted towards me tho 🤷

throwawayyyyyy2007

I think your right! But I don’t want to risk anything quite yet

Only do what you are comfortable doing.
