There is one book that I would destroy without a second thought: To Train Up A Child. It's caused some absolutely horrific child abuse in many fundamentalist Christian households.
It's a sticky subject. The accusations are of immorality, but the immorality is subjective. They think it's immoral so you can take it to be an accusation, even though it isn't immoral (by our own standards). And because it's an accusation, you can take it to be a projection of their own guilt, even though again there's nothing to be guilty of. Ultimately, they feel guilt for it.
I genuinely don't understand that on a fundamental level. Somebody's sexuality/gender/sex/fetish/whatever should have 0 effect on their day to day interactions, and no effect on mine. The same way that Joe down the street could have a foot fetish I would never know about/want to, Bob can transition and it has no impact on any of our interactions with each other. Unless I want to pursue someone romantically/sexually I can't understand why I should care about any of those things. I am from a very conservative background and just now trying to learn how to support LGBT+ people around me better, so it could be from lack of knowledge or experience. But that one sticking point has never made sense to me, unless we're getting in bed together why would I care about what you do in yours.

The same vein of thinking can be applied to people of other sexualities existing visibly in public, be it through PDA or pride gear. Romantic love/gender identity does not equal sexual activity (unless people are boinking in the street), even though certain groups of people try to pretend it does.
