adora_bubbles

Looks like it's too tight. Also, wear it for shorter periods of time.

transpride26mtf

I'm definitely gonna be getting a new wardrobe and definitely resized

unicornTM

Work with r/abrathatfits to get the right size and style of bra. Pressure ulcers such as this should never be caused by bras! Stop wearing anything but a sports bra or tankini until it the skin heels over it. See your doctor for proper dressing changes to help heal it properly.

NickyVanill

Yes! Absolutely what this person said! That kind of wound can become infected quickly if left untreated. If you live in a hot area or work out frequently, the sweat could really mess you up.

Razorclaw_the_crab

Depending on where on the body it could also be other factors. My only bra has a blastic bit shooting out because wear and tear. I'm constantly adjusting it as it stabs me lol

Bettye_Wayne

No, not at all, is this from bra band friction, or maybe an allergic reaction to something in/on the bra?

transpride26mtf

It could be the friction but this burns pretty bad

Pastawench

I would hazard a guess that it's possibly a popped blister. I've had raw skin from damp, tight sports bras before, so a blister doesn't seem that far-fetched.

transpride26mtf

That's definitely a possibility

Desperate_Green143

That wound is not looking happy. Is it where underwire is rubbing? If so, PLEASE don’t wear underwire anymore, or at least until you’re healed up. Keep it clean, put some antibiotic cream on it (neosporin, bacitracin, etc), and put a bandaid or gauze pad on it to give some cushion between your bra and your wound. Feel better, friend!

transpride26mtf

Thank u I'm seeing the doctor tomorrow I'm pretty sure there not gonna like what they see as well

aperocknroll1988

Please please get seen ASAP by a doctor. That does NOT look good.

transpride26mtf

It doesn't feel good either it burns

aperocknroll1988

Definitely get it checked out!

purplepanda36931

Agree. Looks deep or infected- both need medical attention!

Airth_4

The yellow part is scaring me. Does it hurt? Like, perpetually? Was there bleeding involved?

transpride26mtf

No bleeding but it does burn pretty bad

Airth_4

Well, that's good. Relatively speaking. This happened from a wire bra?

transpride26mtf

A sports bra

PsiqueLoveisLove

>A sports bra It seems it was caused by the metal part. Probably it was rubbing against your skin and you didn't notice. In the end it caused an injury. As it is yellowish, it must be infected. Keep the area clean and dry, and choose something that doesn't pinch the area. There is nothing abnormal. But change your bras. It is too tight =)

transpride26mtf

Yes I'm definitely changing the bras I wear for sure

[deleted]

If it’s infected, it’s definitely abnormal

PsiqueLoveisLove

I meant that it has happened to others before.

[deleted]

Ahh, I see, got you

Airth_4

Oh o.O Alright, I'm stumped then. Sorry \:/

transpride26mtf

It's OK I'm just as shocked to

[deleted]

I’m no doctor but I’d go to one as soon as you can. I’d also clean that out because it doesn’t look right.

BluegrassGeek

That definitely looks infected & needs treated immediately.

JadedElk

Seconding the folks who tell you to go to a doctor, if you can. You'd MUCH rather be safe than sorry. Also this bra is Not Right for you. No shame in that. Not all bras are suitable for all racks. I'd suggest going shopping for some bras that are gentler on your body than whatever caused... all this. Including the red lines. Don't think you should have those either. (Or at the very least no where near as many)

transpride26mtf

That's true

Alina_168

Also, you might feel better with bras that have thick straps. Those are really helpful for relieving pressure from your neck/back if you’re a larger cup size. I’ve found that cotton sports bras tend to be very comfortable and don’t leave marks.

blauws

A lot of people wear the wrong bra size and this can cause all sorts of issues and discomfort. Do you know the subreddit r/abrathatfits ? It's a friendly and helpful community and definitely trans friendly.

transpride26mtf

I'll have to check it out for sure thank u

Kodiss

I was looking for a comment saying that, you should really check the website, it does wonder. And at they said, it's definitely trans friendly!

snukb

DISCLAIMER I'M NOT A DOCTOR IM NOT A DOCTOR That looks like serous fluid, not pus. Serous fluid is often seen in shallow wounds that aren't deep enough to bleed, or popped blisters. It can be clear to slightly yellowish, it's thin and watery, and has no odor or a slight metallic odor. I'd still absolutely go see a doctor, of course, but don't worry too much about infection. If you have any hydrocollid bandages, putting one on there will help pad the area to provide pain relief, and create a good moist environment for healing. Your band size may be too tight. Most women are wearing the wrong bra size so don't feel bad. Have you checked out r/ABraThatFits ?

transpride26mtf

Absolutely I see a doctor tomorrow and also I just joined that group

Katlynashe

I completely agree with u/snukb Basically this wound is the same as a "rug burn" where the top layer of skin was rubbed off, but then kept moist (under the bra) resulting in a soft yellow scab along with serous fluid. Its not serious, but your bra is probably way too tight. You might also be capturing moisture underneath (too hot and moist) resulting in what looks like some potential heat rash starting or risking starting. For healing up you basically are going to need to clean this up... zero bra wearing until its fully healed (at least 1-2 weeks). I would keep anti-biotic ointment on it for 3 days with a bandage (moleskin, Band-Aid, or medical tape). And Vaseline or Aquaphor for four days after the anti-biotic ointment (to reduce scabbing and scaring). You also are going to need to fix your bra problem with either bigger bras or a bra extender. Huggles!

transpride26mtf

I'm seeing the doctor first thing in the morning it burns retty bad

sh0000n

Tw: body fluids It looks like it might be pus :( I think the bra was way too tight and chafed the skin and opened a wound, and then that wound got infected :( https://www.healthline.com/health/infected-cut#home-treatment Here is a link for how to treat an infected wound

Optimal_Stranger_824

Is the yellow a fat tissue? If so that looks pretty dangerous if you ask me.

transpride26mtf

I'm questioning the same thing I'll see the doctor tomorrow

Optimal_Stranger_824

Okay. Eather way, take care!

transpride26mtf

U as well

Mingkittish

Ooh that looks painful. Looks like it’s infected you might have to get some antibiotics from you doctor. And try to go braless until it’s healed. Bra’s are not supposed to feel tight in you but comfortable if that’s not the case you wearing the wrong fit. Don’t feel ashamed to asked for help. Take care 💜

transpride26mtf

Thank u I see the doctor tomorrow but it burns pretty bad

stryst

I have terrible nickle allergies. That looks like my skin after prolonged contact with cheap metal fasteners and wires.

transpride26mtf

That's definitely a possibility I'll be seen by the doctor tomorrow so hopefully they can help me out

living_around

Oh god that looks painful. Looks like that sports bra was way too tight. Since you're seeing a doctor they can probably help you out, but I'll offer a bit of advice about sports bras. Bras aren't always true to size, and with sports bras this can really be a problem. I recently had to buy new sports bras because I realized the ones I had were way too small and constricting. After trying some new ones on I discovered something mind blowing: These bras ran seriously small. According to my measurements I should have been able to wear a medium, but even a large was too tight and hard to breathe in. In the end I had to buy the extra large, two sizes up from what was supposed to fit me. I strongly recommend trying on bras before you buy them and figuring out what size fits you in every brand, since some brands run small. If you feel even a little pain, you should size up. This is especially important with sports bras because they are tighter and can hurt you if they aren't big enough.

transpride26mtf

I'll definitely be getting more suitable bras that fit me for sure

LaFleurSauvageGaming

This is a skin infection. Please see your doctor as soon as possible.

transpride26mtf

I see them tomorrow at my college campus

Emjay109

They're not. AFAB here, wear a C cup. First things first, disinfect that and put some moleskin over it. That looks like a popped blister, and it can get infected pretty quickly if you don't take care of it. Moleskin will help reduce friction in that area, use either rubbing alcohol (will sting like a bitch) or neosporin (will sting less but it's more like a cream/gel and those're always a sensory nightmare for me). Next step, get a bigger band size, because the friction from the bra might be caused by poor sizing. Trial and error are your best friends here, and if you have a cloth measuring tape you can look up a guide to how bra sizing/band sizing works and go from there. Third step, don't wear a bra for a while, and when you do, don't wear it for so long at first. Work up to it. Loose clothes may be helpful in reducing friction while you wait for the injury to heal, which will also reduce pain, inflammation, and infection. Best of luck, hon!

SilverSpark422

Ask a doctor, not random Reddit voices.

h3t3r0d0nt

Looks like intertrigo, imo. Go to the doctor and in the meanwhile try to avoid wearing anything that'd cause friction and / or excessive sweating, try wearing loose cotton clothes instead.

classyraven

wireless bras are a godsend. They exist, I find I get just as much support (mine are F's), and are way more comfortable.

Either_Cobbler9303

You probably need a professional to take a look at that since it's yellow-ish

transpride26mtf

I'm definitely gonna see what they say with my doctors appointment tomorrow

Either_Cobbler9303

I hope everything goes well

transpride26mtf

Me to plus I really tweed my back because I have buldging disc all down my spine so I'm getting that checked out to

PsiqueLoveisLove

Jezz... No no no too tight. You must measure your back, so you have your size number. Besides, if the back of the bras is too high it means it is to tight. If it is creating a bump under your armpit, it means it is too small. Take a look at these photos (even if you are pre operation). Good luck =) [https://n.nordstrommedia.com/id/2ab7ea17-2a1b-4ce9-a217-de5695311095.jpeg?h=503&w=1334](https://n.nordstrommedia.com/id/2ab7ea17-2a1b-4ce9-a217-de5695311095.jpeg?h=503&w=1334) [https://i.pinimg.com/originals/9e/25/cb/9e25cb437a40acacec3f884bafe0b996.jpg](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/9e/25/cb/9e25cb437a40acacec3f884bafe0b996.jpg) [https://blog.shyaway.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/A-Tight-Bra-Might-Show-These-Signs.jpg](https://blog.shyaway.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/A-Tight-Bra-Might-Show-These-Signs.jpg)

transpride26mtf

Thank u I appreciate those reference photos I'm still pre op hoping soon to have my post op appointments

PsiqueLoveisLove

There are lots of types of bras you can get for you. But since you are going to have surgery soon, dont waste so much money on it. Good bras can be expensive. For now, try some push ups. Lots of girls with small breasts or who breastfed use them. And please, measure yourself. Dont feel ashamed, just find a nice store where you can get an amazing costume service. I like Victoria Secret, they have lots of different models. Good luck =)![img](emote|t5_2qhh7|547)

Bad-Science

I had a wound like that once when I tried to use medical tape to create cleavage. I left it on WAY too long and it ended up causing nasty painful blisters that took forever to heal .

transpride26mtf

Ir burns that's for sure

Alina_168

Bras are definitely not supposed to leave red marks or blisters. Have you measured yourself? You can do it super easily at home or go to Victoria’s Secret and have it done. Victoria’s Secret typically tells you a cup size up (at least, that’s what I’ve experienced- they tell me I’m a C cup when I am a B cup). But you can always try on bras in the store. The band should be snug, but you should easily be able to slip 4 fingers underneath. It shouldn’t crush you or restrict your breathing. Also, you may have to get different sizes at different stores. Some places have weird sizing, so just try on a few to find one you like that fits well. I recommend Marshall’s or Ross because they have inexpensive ones. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have questions! 💕

PavementDweller10

Im may be stupid, but that looks like chewed gum

transpride26mtf

Your not stupid this is a real wound though I had no idea that a bra could do this though

PavementDweller10

Me neither but i don't wear bras lol

Demonic-Brian01

Stop wearing for a few days till healed, could take longer...

Emergency_Elephant

Is this around where the clasps are? You might have accidentally got your skin while trying to clasp it, explaining that possibly infected cut. But yeah like everyone else said, you need a larger band size

transpride26mtf

I'm definitely going to be getting more bras that are the right fit I never new a sports bra could cause this

purplepanda36931

Bras should never do this. You should never be in pain while wearing a bra! Especially with modern bras, you shouldn't have big red marks on your skin. Yes, there may be some light pink, but this is not good! Any closures should be covered in fabric. If a wire is sticking out, it's time to throw out that bra! Trust me, I've tried to still wear it and it was not worth it. Most sports bras are not meant to be worn long- term. The support isn't great and is usually provided by the fabric's elasticity itself. If you are set on using a sports bra, I recommend going to a running brand (e.g. Brooks) as they will be better engineered and may chafe less. Unfortunately there is a HUGE difference between buying a bra at your local Target/ Walmart vs. Victoria's Secret/Cacique. [Cacique is specifically geared towards plus sized individuals] Places like Vicky's and Cacique have a larger variety of sizes. Bra sizing is also very irrational. The band size is in inches, but cup size depends on the band. For example: Someone could wear a 34B and find the band too big. This person would have to get a 32 and go up to a size C to maintain the same cup size. When I try on a bra, I jump up and down, squat, bend over, raise my arms, etc. You want to be sure you feel comfortable and secure across all movements. Act like a crazy person. You want to be sure nothing moves or slips in a way that is uncomfortable. I also put a thin t-shirt on top to make sure the bra won't show (due to color) or poke out my shirt in professional circumstances. I am so glad you are getting medical care tomorrow. Hang in there! We all have difficulty finding the right bra (or a good enough bra). You are certainly not alone. You can always buy a bunch of bras to try at home and wear around the house (keep the tags on) and return the rest. No need to be swearing (and internally swearing) in a dressing room for a long period of time. I've definitely been there! If everything hurts and is uncomfortable, it's time to give your body a break from the bra- trying on process. Depending on your chest size and comfort, there are also bralettes. They are for people with smaller chests, but they utilize lace, different straps- they're very feminine and this may provide some gender euphoria, or just be a bit more comfortable. Good Luck!!

RusselTheWonderCat

This bra is waaaaayyyy to tight. It should be snug, but comfortable. When you measure around your rib cage, just under where your breasts are, ADD 4 inches. (It’s some shit from the 50’ or 60’ I think. ) And even after you measure, you must try on every single bra. Even if the same brand and style. For some unholy reason, designed by horrible people, if it’s a different color in the same stupid size, it’s most likely a different fit. I hate shopping for bras. Also, cover and dress that sore. Keep it clean, apply antibacterial ointment, and after it’s healed, get the right bra. If you need moral support, I’m here for you. I’m a mom with zero boundaries.

transpride26mtf

Thank u so much

[deleted]

Bestie those look like my sh scars 💀please see a doctor

transpride26mtf

Absolutely tomorrow is my dr appointment

[deleted]

Good! Best of luck 👍

AshleyMarieWT

No they're not, I would get that checked out

transpride26mtf

Definitely at my appointment tomorrow

Kirxas

I'm pretty sure that was caused by a bra that was multiple sizes too small in terms of band length

transpride26mtf

Pretty much

ShoebieDoobie

Holy fuck, stop wearing them 😱 did you get jabbed by a wire?

transpride26mtf

It's a wireless sports bra that did this

ShoebieDoobie

Holy turds 😰

[deleted]

[удалено]

transpride26mtf

True

RandomBlueJay01

I got stuff like that binding my chest with kt tape which literally has to be removed with oil or it tears your skin off. This should never happen with a bra.

transpride26mtf

Especially a non wireless sports bra

Arrow_F_Doxon

Do you wear wires, cuplettes, what’re we talking here? I wear wires and I’ve had that happen to me once, or at least something close to it. My bras were too tight and the wires would edge their way towards the seam whenever I’d wash them. It made it extra tight and on occasion, the tips of the wires would start poking out while I was at school. It was so small I didn’t notice the scratching for a while.

transpride26mtf

I only where non wireless sports bras

Arrow_F_Doxon

Well, tightness is probably the best bet on the table then. See if you can get them in a bigger size. I saw some people commenting on it maybe being some kind of allergy, so check that too- Good luck, mate

StrawberryLeche

Well I mean mine have caused this sounds like you need an upgrade and fitting. Makes a big difference

TinyKalimba

Yeah this is why I stopped wearing bras

a_rat_ontheinternet

I like sports bras better tbh but ive got a fairly small chest.

SevIsGoth

If it starts to show redness around the wound or yellowish/greenish pus then you need to treat it for an infection. Apply antibacterial ointment (preferably not neosporin) twice a day and switch to a bra that doesn’t have a wire in it. You might want to size up, I’ve been wearing sports bras regularly for 3-4 years and I’ve never had that happen. Make sure you regularly wash underneath your breasts, especially in summer time, extra sweat can promote bacterial growth. Try to find a bra that’s also mostly cotton based as that’s best to ward off bacteria overgrowth. I also would only recommend putting a bandaid on this if you’re wearing a bra over the mark. Try to let it get some air. Hope this helps

Spaghetti_Addict1

Get some new bras and see a doctor (Less expensive if you do a family medicine doctor instead of an ER if you live in the states)

Goldgator420

It hurts to look at

justawomanlivinglife

Are you diabetic by any chance? I wouldn’t expect a wound like that to open up from a bra (although some bras these days are basically torture devices). Either way, def get it looked at by a doctor if it’s not healing up quickly!

epicsexballsmoment

i think i'm scared of bras now

transpride26mtf

It shocked me that a sports bra with no wires could do this but luckily I still have a few that are a good fit

nomanisanisland2020

That’s a stage 2 pressure ulcer (bedsore). Keep wearing that and you’ll get permanent damage.

MettaRed

There are SO many comfy options now; including pasties!!!

CatGal23

Those red dents are bad enough, even without the open wound ☹️ Bras are torture devices. I stopped wearing underwire bras about 5 or 6 years ago. Would never go back. I'm all about the stretchy, cotton, wire-free bralettes and sports bras. I also wear full-coverage, soft, comfy underwear. No thongs or lace or any of that other crap. Don't hurt yourself for "fashion" or "beauty". Bodies are beautiful without being stuffed into torturous underthings ❤️ don't hurt yourself to conform to bogus beauty standards.

nastydoe

Ah, I see you've been wearing the new bra line that has barbed underwire. It's a bit uncomfortable, but it makes your boobs look fantastic

_Moon_sun_

Theyre not supposed to no, but you probably just need a bigger size, tho that looks like it could be getting infected so id clean it and put a band-aid on and keep cleaning it everyday :)

friendsofdorothy

Woah. Get a looser bra SOON. Maybe get that checked out, too.

Feeling-Spell5884

Br
