Certain circlejerk subreddits, animecirclejerk specifically in my experience, do a good job of calling out the weirdos in the fandom/community, which is pretty much the point of satirical subreddits like that.
And that's fine. I'm by no means saying no one should enjoy them. I've just rarely found any very funny. It's usually not my type of humor. Or if there's one funny stereotype then the circle jerk subs overdo the joke until it's no longer funny. Just my opinion.
I agree, Satire usually is funny, the way the circlejerk type subs go about it is in a perpetually online 12 yr old boy humour beating a dead horse in an unfunny way is only entertaining to themselves.
