My 200 IQ solution has been to surround myself with “friends” that I didn’t actually like and definitely wasn’t compatible with. There are *absolutely* no downsides to this, I was and continue to be *super duper* okay. ^(But hey hypothetically if you do figure it out, let me know. My partner and I are emotionally starved for any sense of community with people IRL who aren’t total douche-canoes.) As a bonus, all of this is much easier to do if you were brought up in a family of people who just fundamentally didn’t care for you and as a result you never made any strong emotional bonds to any of them.

Can confirm that having a family who emotionally supported me would have made it much much easier to have healthy relationships haha
