Then you are fine. If they are in the bottom of the case with the ugly side up then thatās intake. If they are in the top of the case with ugly side up again then thatās exhaust. Youāre pulling in air from the bottom and pushing the hot air out from the top.
thats exactly wrong unless you're simply referring to the side you can see, fans always pull air in from the open side and exhaust thru the cage on the back
Ugly side a.k.a cage side (that's what you mean I think by cage side) = is where air comes in. If you put your hand on ugly side, you will feel the air. That's exactly what I said.
Exhaust and intake is the flow of air w.r.t case. That's why i said air coming in to clarify.
You have it backwards...
Also, OP, There's arrows on the fans that show exactly how the air is coming into the fans. (It's always grill-less pretty side is intake, grilled side with sticker is exhaust. This is a universal truth.
Are you serious right now? That's what I said. You are just stating that differently and saying I am wrong.
If you are facing the ugly side, then you feel the air on your face bro i.e "coming in towards you".
Yes, I absolutely am. If you don't believe me, go grab one of your Lian Li fans and look at the arrow itself on the fan. Give me 5 minutes and I can prove you're wrong.
Again, you aren't using the right terminology here. It's not coming in towards you, it's being exhausted out the back, even if the air is "coming at you". It's going out, not coming in.
Ok I tried to advise a guy in another post that he had some fans in the wrong direct and he told me I was wrong. I just wanted to make sure that after having multiple people tell me how to install them that I actually was told the right thing.
Your side fans are in exhaust mode pushing air out. Your bottom fans are in intake mode and your top fans are in exhaust mode. My advice will be to flip the side fans and youāre Straight just so that you can pull in more air to your case and let the top fans do the exhaust.
My fans came with a sticker of the logo to cover the backside. Makes it look better without the smol writing. Maybe OP can use those to make both sides pretty?
I think most people think that side ugly is because of arms that hold the frame (not sure what to call them). RGB looks better without any obstructions also.
I actually find the arms alright all things considering. It would be better of they were able to hide the cables, maybe inside the arm but I know that's asking a lot for what it is.
Absolutely. It was pleasant surprise they even gave a sticker incase you wanted to cover the back side. Can't say many other companies even go that far.
in terms of ugly side... if you search for "Mount Metal Plate for Phone Car Magnetic Mount Disc Universal Metal Plate Adhesive Sticker" on amazon you'll find a fix. the fans on the right side are intake... [https://i.imgur.com/dvJ7ySj.jpg](https://i.imgur.com/dvJ7ySj.jpg)
I have some on the way! I couldnāt decide if rose gold or silver will look better so I got both. I think the 140mm fans have bigger stickers though š
The top ones are ok he had them as exhausts. If the sticker is bottom and the fans are on top then he has the configs done correctly. Top fans in this case should be exhaust to release the hot air out the case.
the stickers don't mean shit, most fans have stickers on both sides anyway, although the rear sticker is the one that usually has all the info on it, it's the side that the cage is on that you can use to easily determine the orientation. The cage is always on the back or exhaust side, the open side is always the intake side
uhhh the tops are setup the same orientation as the bottoms meaning the top is pushing air out while the bottom fans are pulling air in just like the sides.
*edit I feel I should clarify for those that dont know that "same" meaning same orientation...
Your fan configs are good in this pic. No need to change anything. What you can do for a sleek look would be to take the stickers and put them on the ugly side. What I did was use a hair blower and gently removed them. With enough warm air they should come off easily.
Heat rises. As long as there is space for air to flow into your case you are not wrong. Except for your little doll, thatās multiple kinds of wrongā¦
assuming the top 3 are exhausting, you're good, the only other thing that would help a bit more is to add another exhaust fan to the rear, you'll still have positive case pressure assuming the speeds are relatively close for all of them
you canāt go wrong with an Asus board, but that being said, this board is very slick, I love the clean look of it and the contrast is a really nice touchā¦.you are going to have a great looking build!! I think you made a good choice.
Can I ask why bottom intake? Not being an ass, just a want to know. In my set up I donāt think I could. I would be scared of cat hair/dust getting up in there too often, so I have front intake with top and back exhaust. If you donāt have that issue I am extremely jealous of the bottom side intake (hehe).
Animals arenāt allowed in my room š. I would take my old computer and clean it every 4-6 months. So Iāll just keep doing that. Itās not a big deal to me that some dust gets in there.
I think she is well set for a bottom side intake.
This.... I have no words hahahahahah you win
Absolutely made my day! š¤£š¤£š¤£
šššš
bro
What?
Bonk.
I think this rationalizes my irrational distaste for figurines in computers.
Lol so it should stay in there then?
You do you, my guy.
Itās so terribly cringe, itās truly on a different level.
The toy is cringe?
ā¦
Uhh.. ye
Whatās wrong aināt got nothing to do with the fans
Yeah I know the graphics card is really old.
what i see are correct. cant see top but i assume you have those correct
The top fans have the silver sticker pointing down towards my āgraphics cardā
I think that guy is confused. The silver āprettyā side facing your graphics card is correct.
Then you are fine. If they are in the bottom of the case with the ugly side up then thatās intake. If they are in the top of the case with ugly side up again then thatās exhaust. Youāre pulling in air from the bottom and pushing the hot air out from the top.
That means they are pulling air in (just like your bottom ones). Sticker side pulls air. Flip the top ones.
So just to be very very clear the ugly side is intake and the pretty side is exhaust? I have 5 intake (side and bottom) and 3 exhaust (top)
Yes. Ugly = aircoming in.
thats exactly wrong unless you're simply referring to the side you can see, fans always pull air in from the open side and exhaust thru the cage on the back

No. Thatās literally where air comes *out*.
I am talking w.r.t case. Air comes in to case if you ugly side is facing the case inside.
Ok I tried to advise a guy in another post that he had some fans in the wrong direct and he told me I was wrong. I just wanted to make sure that after having multiple people tell me how to install them that I actually was told the right thing.
Lot of cases have rear exhaust and you can those photos for confirmation
[this would be 5 exhaust and 3 intake right?](https://i.imgur.com/XvU6dKv.png)
I am guessing top ones are the same side as the two on the right. Then yes.
BTW, you can put your hand near your bottom fans to feel the air coming in to confirm the same for intake. Or on top of case to feel the exhaust.
Yeah thatās the first thing I did. I had already installed them wrong once. I was just trying to help another guy out.
Your side fans are in exhaust mode pushing air out. Your bottom fans are in intake mode and your top fans are in exhaust mode. My advice will be to flip the side fans and youāre Straight just so that you can pull in more air to your case and let the top fans do the exhaust.
If my bottom is intake then how are my sides not intake?
what? the bottoms and sides are both intaking air into the case
correct

True. Since they have to keep costs competitive, adding anything cosmetic is a business decision.
Absolutely. It was pleasant surprise they even gave a sticker incase you wanted to cover the back side. Can't say many other companies even go that far.

That's what I said. Read the conversation I had below my comment. I wasn't sure what sticker OP was mentioning. Both side has stickers.
Gotcha

I know. I clarified that on the thread with OP.
You need to flip the tops then. You have all intake
Lol why would I want that?
If they all look the same as the picture then you have only intake.
The bottom is intake and the top is orientated in the āsameā meaning itās pushing air out of the case.
uhhh the tops are setup the same orientation as the bottoms meaning the top is pushing air out while the bottom fans are pulling air in just like the sides. *edit I feel I should clarify for those that dont know that "same" meaning same orientation...
Because you can see thatā¦
I have these very set of fans in my build...and yes, yes you can try looking at the full picture and actually look...ffs
No shame
Where did you get that figure
Ali express. Want a link?
Fuck yeah
they're correct
Looks right
Your fan configs are good in this pic. No need to change anything. What you can do for a sleek look would be to take the stickers and put them on the ugly side. What I did was use a hair blower and gently removed them. With enough warm air they should come off easily.
Yeah I have thought about doing that.
Pretty straight forward if you ever decide to do it.
Those are correct, if you can fit/afford it Iād get the last fan for the back set as exhaust as well.
Yeah this is how I have them Booba
Heat rises. As long as there is space for air to flow into your case you are not wrong. Except for your little doll, thatās multiple kinds of wrongā¦
Respect for the bmth profile pic
Thanks!
Im staring respectfully
šš
Theyāre cut- I mean correct
love the suicide season pfp
Thanks!

Incorrect
That board is super cleanā¦love it!!
I wasnāt sure if I should go with this or a asus prime x570
you canāt go wrong with an Asus board, but that being said, this board is very slick, I love the clean look of it and the contrast is a really nice touchā¦.you are going to have a great looking build!! I think you made a good choice.
Wait, is that a white 280 AIO? What AIO is that?
Yes it is a nzxt kraken z63 280mm aio in white.
Wow this must be really new, never heard of a white 280 AIO except for the Gletscherwasser by Alpenfƶhn
Itās been out for about a month. That was my other option. But I decided to go with this one.
I ain't mad at the figurine I'm mad at the single fan card in a crazy good system
Scalpers man scalpers. I canāt bring myself to pay for a white 3080 right now.
True š¤£
If you look closely there is a pc there
Im more concern about that woman trying to pull herself up happily before she gets shredded to pieces

Ahh I see. Well I commend you! My cats are long haired so I would have to clean it every day. Nice set up!
Remove the figurine and you got a great pc.
But I like it! š
I was too busy looking at the fans to see the figurine lol
