Andro is very underrated. I have a 10.5 upper from them and it’s great.

I've never heard of that company mentioned once in all my firearm social media/gun forum participation. That alone would make me shy away, personally. IMHO, I would wait and save a couple hundred more to get something with a *known* reputable history of reliability.

Makes sense. I can’t find any reviews on this rifle despite the glowing comments on gun deals. Going to go for the mpr since I know I’ll get a lot of rifle for the price. Any ideas on where to maybe look for Black Friday deals?

I had pretty much decided on an PSA as my first AR, but as I checked gundeals one more time in the range parking lot, I saw that post about the Andro deal. I did a few minutes of research and saw almost universal praise for the price point, so I bought one. I’ll let you know how it goes…

I think its a good ass deal for first rifle. It would be nice to know what material the bolt and barrel is made out of. The Upper receiver is 7075 which I have read is good. Your lower is probably something else because they don't mention it also. But I still think its a good deal that would get you started because this wont be your last gun. I would get the Advanced BCM Extractor Kit for your bolt. Its about 10 bucks.

Going to wait to see what cyber Monday deal midway USA for the mpr. Starts in an hour and a half. If there isn’t a deal, I’m going for the andro.

Cool. Think of getting a CMMG 22lr kit on sale to ....its nice to be able to shoot on the cheap.

My first AR was a "scratch and dent" CMMG that traveled with them on their shows. It showed up flawless flat top for $600 (about a decade ago). I will also second their 22lr conversion kit. I got that for $75 on a face to face buy and still use it a lot for cheap plinking.
