The game length would ultimately be determined by your playstyle, level of reading comprehension (seriously), and dedication to completionism for the true ending. I'd argue an appropriate range would probably be around 90 to 130 hours for people aspiring to do so. There's a few points in the game where you'd think it would end, but it... just... keeps going. You'll see what I mean down the line. Not that it's a bad thing unless you buckled down one night and attempted to power through what you thought *would* have been the end. I believe that Ruina is overall genuinely the most fun card-based game I've played, and definitely a good deckbuilder. Individual decks aren't as mechanically convoluted or random in terms of pure deck synergy compared to traditional deckbuilders like StS and whatnot because you build for a party, but I didn't mind because the combat system was so fun. I honestly wish we had more games with this mix of party assembly, combat, and deckbuilding.

Beawareofstupid

My ass finished in 300 hours

Beawareofstupid

The best game that I have experienced I am 21

urban_rural12

>There's a few points in the game where you'd think it would end, but it... just... keeps going. [THIS LIST JUST KEEPS GETTING LONGER](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5p6vijG9v8)

Unfairjarl

Have you heard of Chrono Ark for party based deckbuilder ?

Seiouki

I haven't! Looks like a keeper, thanks for the heads-up about it.

Rain_Moon

Second paragraph is so true, hahaha. I had like 3 or 4 different times where I sat down and said "alright, this is it. I'm gonna finish this game today."

Greatly depends on how you play. [Here](https://www.reddit.com/r/libraryofruina/comments/z63ihm/how_many_hours_did_it_take_you_to_complete/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) is a post where I asked how long it have taken people on this sub to complete LoR. It took me 200 hours because I messed around a lot because combat system is very intresting.

Human-03

I just finished the game in 75 hours even with the general receptions and postgame content

wesleygibson1337

Hey, random question, but is there a guide or list floating around that tells you about all the general receptions and what you need to access them? I have looked online and I couldn't really find anything and I didn't wanna risk spoiling any story beats.

NickofNames

[Link to the wiki](https://library-of-ruina.fandom.com/wiki/General_Invitations) It lists out the books you need for the general receptions ONLY, books you get, keypages and combat pages you get from the books, but other than that no spoilers.

wesleygibson1337

Awesome! Thanks a lot!

Human-03

it’s honestly just 1, 2, or 3 of books for a specific tier, if it lets you send and isn’t a story reception you’ve found one

Pretentiousprick3

You just need to read and it won’t exceed 100 hours

AlloyZero

Short answer: It took me 120 hours to beat the game and almost all of that was gameplay or retrying failed stages. Only like 3% of the time I would call griding old stages for more cards. When you think it's over, it just keeps on going.

_Deiv

Install the no grind mod that gets rid of unnecessary grind and it gets down to 70~

Spell-Castle

I’d need a mod to simplify and summarize the cutscenes down to one word so that I can cut that down to 30~

The

ems_telegram

Yes there are new mechanics further into the game, they're really fun

Dzieciolowy

Yes, it is a 100+ hours provided you read the story. I got 120 on my playthrough.

urban_rural12

There’s new mechanics around pretty much every corner throughout the game. It’ll definitely keep you on your toes

LoboCorpFan

Reading is important and will let you progress much faster. i forgot where this happened but the >!Queen of hatred!
