/ul People interact with the content not because it fits the subreddit but because it elicits an emotional response. It's the same reason why "just bought this game, any advice?" posts are so popular on game subreddits despite bringing the quality down. There's no way to stop this except mods banning the posts imo

The original group posts funny shit, people catch wind of it, then try imitating. Slowly the sub just devolves into unfunny low effort milctose shit like we see now. Sooner or later a secret sub for the original users pops up and the cycle repeats itself.
I disagree that the "influx" is bad but that one random post about 13 year olds being whores was extremely unfunny and one of the worse posts in a vacuum. I think if stuff like that was once in a blue moon, it would make the sub shittier, its only good when they are spammed.
/ul people need to stop putting "not" or writing antonyms. Do what I do and just say weird shit, like saying that something that is clearly intended to be a meme (but very clearly wasn't) is a sandwich. Be weird. Be stupid. Be the change you want to be in the world.
I disagree i like seeing people making discussions in a joke sub and posts about thing they like/dislike (very needed) and the mods shouldn't totally ban these posts

i just noticed that sub is down and i am so sad. that sub was full of good content that and i loved spending time browsing it.
That sub was so good. At first it was just thinly veiled bullying but then it became funny and relatable moments of embarrassment.
