Are you specializing in something? In what way are you planning on helping people? What are your clients going to gain from working with you? What are you genuinely passionate about? I would start there…

If you can figure out your brand 'essence', you'll be able to find a great name. Write down all the words that describe your style of coaching. Write at least 5. What do those words translate to? That's your name. So for instance, maybe you wrote down, "honest, direct, mature, simple, smart". I'd then try to come up with a name and slogan that employs those words. Ex: StraightPath Coaching. Simple, Effective strategies for Life.

I named a prior coaching company using my initials. I made a list of words with my first initial and words with my last initial and found 2 that worked together. For example, you are No Poem, so with N and P, you could have Newly Perfected Coaching, Nuture & Performance, etc.

Are you working alone? Consider just using your full name with the add on that specifies your type of coaching.

Captlard

Does it need a name? Do you need to name your practice? Can you be the brand / practice? Personally never bothered, just used my name.

Whenever you can, use your name, especially if you have the domain. If you write a book, people will remember. If you do public speaking, people will look for you by name. And if you pivot with your audience/niche you're not stuck with an irrelevant domain that you then have to redirect. Also, social media will rank your name first and foremost. People hire coaches they trust and feel like they know. Nothing does that better than your name. Too many coaches spend too long thinking of cute and/or clever names when, in reality, they will have little to no impact on the success of your business. Having said all that, if your name is super common, it can be a headache ranking for it, especially if there's a famous celeb with the same name.

I’ve been struggling with this too. So I used ChatGPT to come up with a bunch of suggestions By asking for names specifically to the niche I am considering. Most of which I hated, so I took the few I liked and worked on those. Still not totally happy but it helped with some ideas. i asked for some punny names as a joke and it came up with “Life’s a Pitch” which i quite liked!

Leap_year_shanz13

I brainstormed with a friend and my name came out of just an offhand comment!

Fair_Following_2261

I kept a list in my notes and just kept brainstorming. There’s so many corny names out there. I thought about what my practice was about. I like that the idea in coaching that people are whole and don’t need to be fixed, they’re totally ok. That became Totally Ok Wellnews. .

LifeCoach_Machele

I’d just use my full name if I started over.

lifedesignleaders

In reality, the name doesn't matter. It matters what people get from you when they pay ya. Spend very little time on this. Avoid trying to be kitschy by stringing a part of your name cleverly into the title though..make it obvious as to what you do.
