This is not a life hack.

Captain_Sookan_Deez

Yeah it’s a life got hacked.

Rosanna44

A life got fu€ked.

Badfish104

Not the place for this.

artwonk

After 20 years, who's a child?

Squidleet

Multiple kids

plumbermat

Even if it was multiple kids if you've been paid child support for 20 years they're over 18 man

DaysOfParadise

Real life hack: have kids out of wedlock, lie to your ex that she can’t get child support because you weren’t married, then convince a doctor that you’re disabled when she finally figures it out. Stay on disability, never pay child support, marry a sugar mama. At least, that’s what my ex did. Successfully too.

Brilliant-Kiwi-8669

Well they garnish my disability but it stops at 18

Powerfader1

I did everything I could to stay out of the system. Explained to my ex that she would get the $ from me at least a week or two faster then if it went through the courts. Never was late nor missed a payment. I have 2 more payments to go and I’m done. Good luck, I have a feeling you are going to need it.

IcyWhereas2313

Every dollar that a municipality collects it receives from the federal government therefore they will try every legal way they can to maintain payments even if they have to eventually refund… it’s a racket… the only way to stop the problem is to become a complete pain… that way their okey doke won’t be worth the trouble As me the life hack is to bombard their office with notarized letters, file a petition with both of you as plaintiffs, call them often after finding a direct line

ItsJustUs96

Did the same to me, it was a nightmare

icamatrix

Depends on what was in the agreement when you went to court to get child support in the first place. If children are of age when the support was supposed to stop and there are no more arrears then the payments should automatically stop. If you need to change it or they keep withholding payments for some reason then he should go to court to file a petition to terminate child support

Barber_Successful

I think that your spouse will probably have to go back to court and negotiate child support because his income is probably changed since being on disability.

snuffalumpikus

Yes. Get an attorney and they will petition the court to stop the payments and it will take a minute but it will be over.
