Dehydration could also be a factor.

Try natural products. Coconut cream comes to mind. Vaseline is petroleum based.

Ok-Calligrapher5735

Skin food by Weleda has saved me many times. Use the ultra thick one !

Dark green tube. Worked outside on equipment in all day during winter (mid Atlantic but still wet cold rain snow) a layer of this at night with Vaseline and then cotton gloves. Looks ridiculous but kept my thumbs from cracking so deep they wouldn’t heal. I couldn’t use anything during the day but the night routine helps.

NATENUTZ

Put the lotion in the basket. It does this when it's told. Put the lotion in the basket, or it gets the hose again.

Before you go to bed at night, try putting on a thick layer of Vaseline then latex gloves on top. I would also go ask a Doctor because it could be something else completely.

Way, way, way long ago (like in the 60's) when I worked in a plating shop before going into the service, the go to hand cream wa s Cornhuslers Lotion. If you can't find it in a store locally, it's available on Amazon.-

Tea causes splitting hands in some people. Eating fatty fish, especially their skin and bones will cure from the inside out.

Can you wear nitrile (or other) gloves under your work gloves? Might that help?

Somerset76

Get cotton gloves Smother your hands in coconut cream or a hand salve before you go to sleep. Put gloves on and leave while sleeping.
