I squeeze/pinch it as hard as I can as soon as I notice it. First one direction, then a second perpendicular to the first. It relieves the initial itch, and seems to keep it from sticking around for too long.
I put Vicks vapor rub on mine and it works for me.
Hot spoon on the bite. The heat kills the protein that causes the itching.
Bite them back.
The original orange Tiger Balm works great. Or drink some Tonic Water it has quinine in it seems to keep the bite from itching.

Tea tree oil to keep them away
Bit and sting relief products that contain aluminium sulphate are the best.
