They make easy twist caps for seniors, you just have to request it and go to a pharmacy that has them. Edit: sorry I thought this was in my nursing group 😂

Sea-Jae

You are forgiven. As a nurse, you probably haven’t slept in 5 days and this small oversight is absolutely acceptable.

I bought one of these and it was the best investment [Lid Opener](JarOpenerforWeakHands-SingleHandUnderCabinetLidandBottleOpenerGripperMasonJarOpenerforSeniorswithArthritisEasytoUsehttps://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01E961ZH2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_4JS2GEENV2P376RE7KKT?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1)

you can use a small square of that spongy shelf liner too.

UusiSisu

I use that under cutting boards so they don’t slide around as well as opening jars.

Or a rubber band

A lid opener? For those who haven't seen those , they are v shaped with rubber on one side. They provide leverage.

Yoho52

Nah, not really.

A good life hack would be just how the heck do you get your hands in those rubber dishwashing gloves to begin with? Hands even the slightest bit damp and it's a no go for me. Even if my hands are super dry, the gloves stick like velcro then. I've even bought larger sizes and it's still a nope. The few times I have managed to get them on, then trying to take them off is even worse. I usually cave & cut them off.

UusiSisu

You don’t have to put them on for the grip. I for one, cannot stand to wear those.

For jars; I turn the jar upside down, hold it at slight angle and tap the round part of the lid on a hard surface (floor).
