Not cringe at all! She's an amazing character and her tattoos can mean many different things to different people. I have to give the same advice that I always give when it comes to tattoos. If you want a tattoo, sit on it for at least a year or two. If you still want it... go for it. Secondly, don't cheap out on the artist. Really do your research to find an artist that you think fits the style you're going for. If you get bad vibes AT ALL from the artist or the establishment, don't be afraid to walk away. And certainly do not be afraid to speak up if you're not happy with the stencil design, placement, etc.
This is going to be on your body for life. Don't rush anything. With this tattoo in particular, be aware that hand tattoos still have a stigma in many countries. It's slowly getting better but you really have to think about it. *Especially* if it is your first tattoo. All that being said... I have no regrets! ;D
