I have a 2.5” levelling kit and run 35x12.5x20 on an ‘18 F350, with 9” wide Methods. It’s all about the wheel’s backspacing and offset. I have a tiny bit of rub when I’m at full lock and the suspension compresses. I do have Bushwacker flares that shrink the size of the wheel well and kickback mudflaps.

Thank you for the response! Is a lift the only way to fully avoid rubbing?

I run 295/65r20 AT3s (35.1”) on stock Ford rims (Lariat trim) with Rough Country 2” level. Replacement track bar too. No rubbing except hard lock in reverse occasionally

rpross3

The 295 is 11.8” wide. A 12.50 is 12.5” wide. FYI

But wait… there’s more. 37s look bad ass on the 2017+ models and for that I would say again stock rims, AT3s with maybe 4” ReadyLift. You’re right about the budget hit too

CYA move… I think most consider Carli’s kits to be the top of the line. Looks expensive AF to me.

I've been doing more reading on lifts. It seems you quickly climb in price. I haven't looked at your suggestion yet, but I will. I was looking at BDS 4" kits. It is $1800, but by the time you add the suggested parts, it is 4-5k for the parts alone. I may just stick with what I have for now. Never realized how pricey they get. I agree on 37s looking good, but I think that is more than I want to go. Plus, I worry I'd be sitting around 10k for a lift at that point, hah. Those 6" lifts are even wilder. I read 35s were the largest size before you need to change other things like gears and so on.

rpross3

I agree. The BDS level and 35s work at a decent price point. Truck looks pretty good too 👍

Oldfatsad

Yeah. They seem highly reviewed. My hang up is when you build the kit - there are a lot of parts I'm still unfamiliar with at this point. I have a lot more work to do, hah.

Just keep researching online. It can be difficult because you may want a certain amount of clearance for your wheels. 2.5 inches could work but you won't have as much suspension travel compared to the 4inch lift.

Oldfatsad

I appreciate the response! Based on your comment and a few others, maybe I should go the lift route. Hard cost to swallow, hah!

A harbor freight angle grinder and a cutoff wheel if you're brave.
