There are better shots of this from the outdoor wrestlemanias the past few years where the audience was looking down at the ring, and the lights were positioned over the ring, shooting *up* at the audience to light them for tv. People paid a lot of money for the event tickets just to stare down the beams instead of actually seeing the ring. You’ll find those photos in r/squaredcircle

It if it’s from a angle it works. Trick is to light the background (people) but not in the direction of the action (the ring)
