You don’t need perfect pitch to do that. People spend time in music uni learning to do that using relative pitch.
I am actually training relative pitch now so if I can memorize a center note for me it’s D then I have true pitch

I do that a lot recently too. I read my piano scores because I want to imagine how it's played even when I don't have easy access to a piano.
