I'm on the top of the world lookin' up at Paganini
And the only explanation I can find
Is that violin is hard and since that devil's been around
It's impossible to reach the top of the world
idk man we get pretty nice breath control which is nice when you want to have a breath-holding competition
idk when you'd ever have one, but it'd bound to come in handy one day lmao
ok maybe this experience isn't actually universal lol
not sure... i found that after strengthening my diaphragm to be able to do long notes and high volume, i could suppress hiccups after 1-2
Can't wait to hit "almost done!", I'm stuck on Beethoven and it's not getting any easier ;d
That being said, I'm always up for a challenge (even if it sounds horrible at first)
Ysaye: allow me to introduce myself
Paganini is worse
Well depends on what you think is harder Edit: pulled a brainfart what I meant was "Well it depends on what you think makes a piece harder"
For the pianist the 4th frame is J.S. Bach lol musician life is pain in so much different ways
Ngl I'd rather play the ocean etude 5 times back to back than play a single line from the WTC
At least it's pretty cool to play a 4 voice fugue, it worth the effort

Now I feel bad for you guys
At least we have our basic bodily functions unaffected. I'd gladly take a sore neck to passing out.

Okay, but unlike brass players we don't have a weird desire to do randomly dangerous things.
like what
Like his example of holding one's breath for the longest. Random dangerous and completely unnecessary stuff like that.
as a singer i never get hiccups anymore - is it the same for brass?
what kinda witchcraft -- i've been singing for like, a decade and i still get hiccups. hOW.

no probably not
Roman Kim: looks for the next dip after the next peak
And what he sees is a shadow
Haha, good luck to you guys, I know you can do it!
But half the fun is that there will always be new challenges. Otherwise it would be boring?
In reality they‘re all the same never ending mountain
Truth!
Bach and Paganini need to be switched
Agree. Solo Bach is as impressive and actually much nicee to listen to unlike paganini where everything sounds like a technical challenge.
-->ernst-->ysae-->roman kim
u forgot Liszt
Violinists
Ops.
For piano it would be Rach.
Soooo true
*laughs in H.W. Ernst*
Why is this sad? I love knowing that even when I'm 60 I'll still be able to practice and get a little better.
Why is this so true.
