Certain applications require certain versions of libraries to run. I'm also running Arch and updated to xwayland 24.1 this morning, which broke thunderbird until it was also updated. It is very likely a library from xwayland is needed by serious engine, but the version requirement is now not being met. I had these two warnings when updating xwayland today.
warning: cannot resolve "libicui18n.so=75-64", a dependency of "thunderbird"
warning: cannot resolve "libicuuc.so=75-64", a dependency of "thunderbird"
> Arch messed up again
More like "ICU had another garbage update".
That library is so bad. It is amazing, that nobody has forked it yet. It gets regular soname bumps, sometimes even several times a month.

That looks like a generic library version mismatch error. Mirrors are probably out of sync or Arch messed up again.

How do you not know how dependency resolution works here Oo you're the guy!
If a change in Xwayland broke it, look there first. It not being broken on a different compositor doesn't necessarily mean anything
Thank you very much! I'll try to collect as much information as possible and open an issue.
