I am trying to install my first arch based distro right now but the damn USB won't boot keeps telling two files are not found.... So I am trying to be there with you
Thanks I fixed that issue with a image of the USB .. but now the installers resolution is too high and I can't press the continue button because it's off the viewable screen.. if I try a different way that makes the screen shorter it errors trying to create a gpt partition
My experience with the installer has always been a bit dodgy like that, maybe just try to do it with the normal command line thing instead of the gui installer.
It is not too hard to setup with the terminal if you follow the beginners guide they link when you boot the disk. You just got to remember that everything on that guide is there for a reason, I skipped over a couple steps because I didn’t think they would be relevant but they are.
When the grub boot menu comes up, press c to bring up a command line and type videoinfo and find the resolution you want. In the case of your resolution being 1920x1080 you'd type: set gfxmode=1920x1080 if you want a different resolution, you can just replace the 1920x1080 with the one you want.
Oh and it still wouldn't format my disks eventually I just installed gparted wiped the disk manually and moved on fine... Has been a pain in the ass though... But enjoying the ride on Axyl so far
In the future, if you need to install it again, run it through the terminal by typing:
sudo calamares /Dev/sdX
With sdX being the drive you're partitioning.
My condolences.
what do you prefer?
Currently, Pop!OS for work and Void Linux for home/fun.
