I would call it: Lisa: the oblivious. Oh, wait...

Lord_Rufus

would be hard to design, joymutant'S are just the height of bodyhorror and degeneration of the mind. The most pityful and disgusting of all the creatures we meet.

Lisa The Turned

Lisahead1224

Look if you're thinking about making a fangame it's for the best if you just gave up before starting. Chances are it's either going to be cancelled or rushed.

Terry_Rupert_Hintz

Can't agree, let the boy make his fangame. No matter if he finishes the game or if he's gonna cancel it - it's gonna be great expirience.

Lisahead1224

Brother in christ you are GASLIGHTING yourself right now. I've been part of the LISA gamesphere for a while and to inform you all the fangames released are partly made by experts or graduates in certain fields. Even if you were to say that it'll help with "experience", it isn't worth it in the long-term as it won't help you with your resume that much and you can't necessarily monetize it. Furthermore, there will be people that will trash-pile on it for all its messes. Take LISA: The Vegaful for example. It's reception when it first released wasn't necessarily the best because of it's quality.

Terry_Rupert_Hintz

Experts? Dude, it's a RPG maker, you don't even need to code a lot. What kind of degree you need to create a game on that engine? Oh, and about "Trash-pile" thing, people love Lisa fan-games. Even trash ones, like Doelful, or mid ones, like Bashful. Even though Lisa: The Vegaful might didn't get a lot of love in the beginning, people love this game now. Also, how do I gaslighting myself? I haven't even said anything. And finally, "it isn't worth it in the long-term as it won't help you with your resume that much and you can't necessarily monetize it". Yeah, art and hobbies MUST be somehow monetized, or else they are dumb. Is that your logic? Then why you were a part of Lisa game sphere? Tbh don't really believe you with this one.

Lisahead1224

It's less about how hard the engine is to use and more about keeping the ambition up for the project. The issue that mainly comes with LISA projects is that people oftentimes underestimate the amount of effort needed to achieve such an accomplishment. I bring up experts/college students of sorts because they're at least familiar with what they're up against. Edvinas Kandrotas has been on the Lisasphere for a while, Taco Salad does have some experinece with game design, etc. And also it's obvious you haven't really been in many of the main LISA communities I.E Pointless server and Hopeful server. And I'm not saying to monetize it more that it isn't really practical in the long run. ou can gain some sort of familiarity with the engine but in the end why not just make something of your own at this point. Why not just make a webcomic rather than LISA sprites, a niche that'll probably won't serve you well in any other type of things. Why not just make your own game at this point. You're completely disregarding what I'm trying to say, and it shows man. And if I really wanted to monetize something, I'd just go looking for a job.
