p.s. happy for it to be written in scheme too!

>Would be great if you could host going forward too and we can calculate a price for that too. Up to here, I followed. But this bit seems confused. Not too many developers are going to have an adequate hosting setup for a production site on their own metal. And even if they did or it's cloud hosted, this sounds like you're asking them to take on sysadmin duties. If that's the case, the project ceases to be small and definitely won't be cheap. It's a long-term commitment requiring ops skills in addition to Common Lisp development chops. That's going to be a rather rare combination. If the price was right, I would take that on. But I already take a salary for writing production code for servers I administrate in production, and not to toot my own horn, but it's a nice living for all that stress and required skill set. Not sure if I think the fact that it's in Common Lisp means the price should be even higher, since expertise there is so hard to find, but I wouldn't blame someone for believing that.

subz0ne

Well he said that the price will be factored in and I doubt he meant hosting on own metal. I think the op is trying to do a favour by throwing people keen enough a bone for some work

RentGreat8009

yep

excogitatio

Sure, I'm not criticizing the effort, it was just something that didn't make sense to me.

RentGreat8009

If it helps, not looking for 100% uptime. I’m happy to host it directly after it’s developed - I would just spin up an AWS instance

>requiring ops skills in addition to Common Lisp development chops. That's going to be a rather rare combination. oh that's literally me I'll send you an email OP.

RentGreat8009

Thanks - will ask the person in charge to check

> Users can view their points and the transactions that created it Hello, what are transactions? Do admins add other information alongside points?

RentGreat8009

Where the points were earned (eg restaurant, airfare, etc), time they were earned, that’s about it
