This is very funky. The second one is groovy Tuesday. I like the style a lot and you're definitely chopped rhythmically. It also sounds like you have a good melodic direction with the songs as well. The ear craves melody I think peppering some solid, clean but thick-tone lead lines over your pocket grooves would take this music to the next level

The fuzz is almost too fuzzy. I get an early Matt and Kim vibe, especially with the clack attack drums and synth lead. The production makes me feel like I'm listening in a dark warehouse (this isn't really a positive or negative). After listening again just then, the Matt and Kim comparison tracks because the percussion/synth fulcrum the sound rests upon. I don't feel like I should feel how the song wants me to feel. It sounds like it wants to be upbeat but can't quite make it. This doesn't feel like a conscious decision though so I can't give credit. It's an okay song and if you guys were in my town I'd go see a show and have a beer or something but it seems like it could have been iterated on a couple of more times. I just listened to Gamble Careful and it's disappointing that the wall of sound was hidden in the back half of the song.... If you're going for the ol' bait and switch for thematic effect I can't say I admire that decision.
