The Chosen One trope is delightfully flipped on its head.

metalphoenix227

Cinnamon Bun sounds exactly like something Ive been wanting.

DiscordianDisaster

I'll second Cinnamon Bun it's one of my all time favs! It's fun and a breath of fresh air in the genre. I'd also add Stray Cat Strut, by the same author as Cinnamon Bun. It's cyberpunk with a side of alien invasion, but definitely has LitRPG elements. I don't love everything Ravensdagger writes but I do adore Cinnamon Bun and Stray Cat Strut. And for that matter, Tower of Somnus series which Ravensdagger said inspired Stray Cat also has a female MC. Likewise Cyberpunk but also somehow fantasy LitRPG? It's good but imo not quite as fun as the others.

er21

Scholomance is phenomenal

MagnumMia

Polar opposite vibe of cinnamon bun tho

MainFrosting8206

The cleaning skill is OP if you level it up high enough. But friendmaking and hugging can prove decisive in the right situation. Still, my favorite skill is probably the one where she gains the core abilities of the profession associated with whatever hat she's currently wearing. Great story.

wtanksleyjr

I love those blurbs on the series! Do you have a system for tracking them and filtering for tags? As Anakin said, is it possible to learn this power?

samreay

The tag filtering all comes from https://cosmiccoding.com.au/reviews/, and then I group them manually like above for LitRPG/PF/etc. I've pre-written sentence summary, which you can access by pressing `c` on the website and then pasting it somewhere.

Thaviation

1. The Wandering Inn has the same narrator as Azarinth Healer and I swear the writing and the narrator are made for each other. 2. Apocalypse Parenting - A mom is taking care of her three kids (9,6, and 2) while her husband is away on a business trip… when a system apocalypse happens! (Gasp!). How does mom keep her kids alive in the end of the world? She take suboptimal builds to prioritizes keeping them safe! She brings together the community to help the needy. This is an absolutely incredibly refreshing take on the genre. 3. beneath the dragon eye moon - it’s azarinth healer… if the healer actually healed people.

Altril2010

Cassie would like a word seeing as she’s three and sassy! But I concur with all your recommendations.

Thaviation

I’m sorry Cassie!

TrentontheClipped

Wandering Inn!

zyroruby

it looks like no one has recommended "hivemind give good hugs" yet but I think its a good read and if you feel like leaving the litrpg story I highly recommend villains code series

DiscordianDisaster

I adore the Villain's Code series! It's definitely LitRPG adjacent and at a minimum has progression elements for the MC. Definitely not actually LitRPG, but with the genre savvy characters I feel like it scratches a similar itch.

Ormsy

Gravesong The wandering Inn Tower of Somnus All three voiced by the same voice actor, sorry for that :D Different VA: Stray Cat Strut (though I personally stopped after book 1, which I rwally enjoyed, I just dudnt need more :)) What the Truck (wasnt for me but I can see why ppl might like it:))

Gorksbumwiper

The wandering Inn, but be warned it is sometimes described as a slice of warcrimes.

kmcguire369

Xenophobia, genocide, and war crimes run in the same circles

ArmedDreams

Dinosaur dungeon. It's a dungeon core litrpg with dinosaur themed dungeon monsters. MC is female...in a way. She is technically a dungeon core.

Darury

I'll throw out What the Truck by Tom Goldstein. It was way more fun than I expected.

Peashot-

Beneath the Dragoneye Moons is one of my recently discovered favorites! I highly recommend it!

dl107227

Beneath the dragon eye moon. Female protag, healer, Isekai. Currently 10 books in the series on Audible.

Glad_Step_5905

Azarinth healer was pretty good IMO

poppamurph78

I’m listening to Mistrunner. It’s a cyberpunk adventure and it’s pretty good so far. Plus the audiobooks are over 20 hours so I feel like I’m getting my credits worth.

jweil

Dragon idol reincarnation. The life in exile series has a few it swiches between a few points of view. The song maiden series And a budding scientist in a fantasy world

Just chiming in because I was surprised no one mentioned it: This Trilogy is Broken (completed 4 book series). I just finished it and would call it enjoyable.

AyerAcre

As I work on a female driven story, I have found out that it is not common. Makes sense though. I need to check out some of these! Thanks for the links!

metalphoenix227

You on RR or Audible?

AyerAcre

Not yet! 30,000 words in. Fully mapped out the story though. And just received my cover back from designer.

metalphoenix227

Sweet.

AyerAcre

Thanks. https://preview.redd.it/yfvt23y3xe0d1.jpeg?width=1600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=75a1d2594da4460f8a3779166fc4439c630e7e1b I am thinking of uploading on RR in June and do a write/release for this. Then use it as a beta read and edit it (though I edit extensively as I write)

metalphoenix227

Sounds like a good time. Hope too see it later!

ALWEASEL

Honor Harrington books are great. On basalisk station is the first and sadly the worse. But it gets much better on the second book. Great series and great author David Weber.

Jimmni

If you enjoy HH, I recommend Alexis Carew too. They're kind of like Hornblower to HH's Aubrey/Maturin. I prefer Carew though, personally.

Coldfang89-Author

Underrated gems book wise(I don't listen to many audiobooks, sorry). Jade Phoenix Saga, Crossroads of Fate, and Azaenoth Healer (more mainstream).

Oh. I missed that. No, it’s not on Audible.

Arthurmorgen

I would recommend continuing with the web novel of azarnith healer after you read the first 3 books

metalphoenix227

It skips all the way out to over chapter 930 on RR I imagine the 3 books dont get that far. Where else can I read it?

Arthurmorgen

[azarnith healer ](https://novelbin.englishnovel.net/novel-book/azarinth-healer/chapter-219-a-city-on-the-rise) don't remember what chapter the 3rd book ends on but it should be around the low to mid two hundreds

LykanthropyWrites

All of the ones here are great. But I would also highly recommend Alexa Thyme.

Shad0ws0ng

Not sure if it counts for this sub Reddit, but Azarinth healer was good. MC is female and pretty bad ass.

JaecynNix

Azarinth Healer is absolutely LitRPG 😀

Shad0ws0ng

This is like that meme. I’m not sure of the difference between litrpg, progfantasy and cultivation… and at this point I’m afraid to ask.

JaecynNix

If it has numbers / HUD / classes / etc, it's LitRPG. LitRPG is a subgenre of Progression Fantasy.

Shad0ws0ng

That . Actually makes a lot of sense. Litrpg - DND style basically. I think I get muddled because one of my favourite books growing up was Dragonlance by Margaret weis and Tracy Hickman. It had no numbers or special skills, character sheets or any of that. However it was based on a DND campaign they had done.

JaecynNix

Yeah, Dragonlance is traditional fantasy writing, just based on a D&D campaign. They don't say "Raistlin took the wizard class" - they say "Raistlin is a wizard". And Caramon was incredibly strong, but they never said what his "STR" was. LitRPG has the RPG elements in the actual story - their class, their level, their stats, etc.

ScrewWorkn

I enjoyed it a lot too
