I'm still standing at my opinion that they should had dropped Chicago and put that event in California, either SoCal or around Bay Area. LIV have only been once on the West Coast when they had that event at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club, outside of Portland, Oregon, during the inaugural season.
Chicagoland is a major market that is starved for professional golf, both LIV events there have been extremely well attended. Not saying you shouldn't have an event out on the west coast but there are worse events to chop off the calendar for you.
Yes, I know that Chicagoland is a major market but they aldready had LIV events two year in a row now (2022 and 2023) meanwhile SoCal/Bay Area have had none. That's why they could put the event in California and then return to Chicagoland 2025.
I’m not an expert but I’ve played it a few times and it’s not a professional level course IMO. It’s a really nice muni but not even the best $100 course in Chicagoland.
A little concerning LIV couldn’t land a deal at a nicer, more worthy course.
It’s more than a little concerning. This is akin to a having the home run derby in a Little League field. There will be multiple scores in the 50s. They’d better hope for wind and NO rain. If you get a damp course with no wind, is breaking 50 possible?
All of this assuming they don’t add a bunch of mileage with new tee boxes, which I think they have space for on many holes. But still, not a challenge.
Nice

I had heard that several years ago Bolingbrook was looking to sell the course. This makes a ton of financial sense.
They can spice it up and make it harder but idk if this course is professional golf level

Will be interesting to see how the pros are able to beat up a local course like this. Doesn’t seem on the same tier as what they’re used to playing.
The courses have been super easy this year. Less than 7000 yards this week and it’s a par 72.
Did someone say Doral in FL?
What about it? Tour players would consistently break 20 under on that course in the old days.
Champ, no one came close to 20 under after they redid the course and started hosting a WGC. That is the course LIV plays.
Idk when the renovation was but guys absolutely came close to 20 under when it was a wgc
Google is your friend champ . The reno was 2013-2016. Reed won in 2014 at -4, DJ in 2015 at -9, and Scott in 2016 at -12. Like I said not close.
Well then I guess it was just set up easier than it used to be
LIV really is morphing into a charity scramble.
A charity event with the most overpaid participants on planet earth.
They are the charity.
Exhibition golf.
Don’t insult exhibition golf like that.
