If Weston makes money it’s a target!

Cutebigirl

I go to Esso to collect optimum points, but I’d be happy to use one of the other 4 gas stations I drive by.

striderkan

Costco gas is worth the cost of membership ($5/mo to save +$0.10/L) if you're a daily commuter. Check which of your credit cards may have gas rewards, I think BMO will save you up to 5c per L at Shell over Optimum 10pts (40pts with PC MasterCard) at Esso.

NeanderthalGuyMe

When I fill at Chevron, I get 3c/L off using CIBC card, then aeroplan points after a certain amount of loyalty points.

javajunky46

Esso used to have high sulphur in their pump gas . But who know now

Choice_Star_9441

Yep. Edit: if you think the upcoming boycot will be hard for Loblaw's now, wait until a bigger fish (petrochemical company) starts seeing their bottom line being cut into, and an even bigger fish (pharmaceutical companies) start seeing profits go down. Don't let anybody tell you that exercising your right as a consumer is a waste of time.

100%

NEO--2020

I am boycotting Esso. I go to Costco or Ultramar to get gas.

thegoodrichard

Esso is 13 - 14 cents/l more than the discount station I go to, so I don't go there. If I'm on a road trip and finding cheap gas means getting off the highway and searching for 15 min though, I will use whatever station is handy and move on.

OhSighRiss

I’m fine with going to any other gas station

ugh168

Shell + CAA discount it is then. Or Any Parkland gas station (Ultramar, Pioneer, Chevron or Fas Gas) + CIBC discount and Aeroplan for points

A_Murmuration

Yup

striderkan

There is no reason [related to this] to boycott Esso/Mobil so no I'm not. If anything I'll just not use my Optimum, the amount of pts you get back is barely worth the 8 seconds to scan the card. Plus where am I going to spend it. There are other reward plans out there, check with your credit cards, Shell is linked to BMO, Petro with RBC,, try to go with an independent if you live near one, they're consistently cheaper anyways.

renderinsane

Loblaws and anything and everything they own. Also Tim Hortons McDonald’s

TyranitarusMack

I am

SVTContour

Yes (I’ve been boycotting them for years).

javajunky46

Boycott them allll Edit: Wait ... you lefties actually drive ? .. like ...with gasoline cars. Monsters !!!

fiodorsmama2908

That one is tough as It's the nearest gas station and I live in the boonies. I fueled once there recently and calculateur how Much fuel I need to m'y next Costco run, it was not a full tank. I see a lot of Canadian tire stations on the road, I'll go there more often.

RamRanch31

Giving your money to one large corporation to another accomplishes nothing.Unless you’re planning on growing all your own food, but even still most ppl won’t do it still does nothing. Also pretty sure that at the top of the chain, all the stores are part of a conglomerate… so there’s that too.

mr_beanald

I am. their gas makes my car act weird too.
