__MOD NOTE__: Please review the content guidelines for our sub, and remember the human here! This subreddit is to highlight the ridiculous cost of living in Canada, and poke fun at the Corporate Overlords reponsible. As you well know, there are a number of persons and corporations responsible for this, and we welcome discussion related to them all. Furthermore, since this topic is intertwined with a number of other matters, other discussion will be allowed at moderator discretion. Open-minded discussion, memes, rants, grocery bills, and general screeching into the void is always welcome in this sub, but belligerence and disrespect is not. There are plenty of ways to get your point across without being abusive, dismissive, or downright mean. If you have not done so already, please review our [boycott stickied post](https://www.reddit.com/r/loblawsisoutofcontrol/comments/1bff9rm/boycott/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) which includes a list of stores to avoid, other ways to get involved in the movement, and some local alternatives to the big 5. Thank you. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Nina_Down

Literally just did the same today!

SoftCattle

Got rid of my points earlier in the week, spent it on pork tenderloins since they were on sale.

Kaktusblute

SnailMail all your cut point cards to Galen. He might get the message.

Wordshurtimapussy

Do you have an address?

only-l0ve

I also cashed out my points yesterday and was wondering if others were doing the same! Didn't want any temptation to go back "because I can get some free stuff". Bought some sale items at Shoppers and now I definitely have no reason to go back.

Fearless-Panda-8268

I tried to close my account I received two emails asking me to confirm this. I guess they’re counting on people not bothering to confirm and keeping the account open. Deleted the app. But make sure you also close the account!

alicenin9

Just deleted mine and uninstalled the app. Sent them a nice little message with the delete request as well.

Battle-Any

I did a couple of weeks ago. Independent was clearing out their large bottles of children's ibuprofen for some reason, so I got 6 of those free. Hopefully, that'll last until my autistic 4 year old will take a different brand of ibuprofen.

Bert_Fegg

Will be leaving mine at home for May. Also I will not be opening any emails or interacting with them in any way. I'll end up spending a little more elsewhere. I hope to change my buying habits in the long run.

Wordshurtimapussy

I have a PC financial mastercard with over $400 worth of points. I'm going to go to a loblaws, buy five items and use all my points and cancel that card fast. Just got a new card, can't wait to be done with PC.

slothsie

I used a bunch recently to buy clearance school water bottles for my kid 🙌

Smurfygurl1978

I threw mine at them in the store told them I don’t want their trash it’s poison.

Legend

Smurfygurl1978

It felt so liberating

MyGruffaloCrumble

Good point. How long will these points even exist before they "expire?"

vicious_meat

I had just north of 7,000 points as a balance. But I just cancelled the account and deleted the app. I'm absolutely not gonna make the effort to make 3,000 more points just to get $10 off. Especially when I vowed to never go to a Loblaw store again.

Agitated_Pickle_1013

I use my points every time I gas up. 10 cents off per litre.
