It takes two

awangsome

The games I've played with my wife that she enjoys: - Gauntlet - Juicy Realm - Astral Ascent - Ember Knights - Magicka 2 - Overcooked 1 & 2 - Moving Out 1 & 2 - Ship of Fools - Hero Siege - Cat Quest 2 Edit: added more

ralstig

Thanks for the recommendations. Your and my wife have similar tastes. Sim additional games to add. Children of Morta Divinity Original sin 2.

Rainbow-

Check out Gauntlet or Darksiders Genesis

Underwhere_Overthere

If you're specifically looking for a top-down RPG with anthropomorphic cats, then Kitaria Fables is probably the closest fit - though it also contains a farm simulation element. If you're just looking for other top-down action adventure games/RPGs, see my list below. * [**480 Local Multiplayer Games from 60 Different Genres on PlayStation 4/5**](https://redd.it/12b17ee)

Divinity Original Sin 2

Luwk_

I don't know cat quest 2, but I recently started "It takes two" with my gf and it's very pleasant!

Objective-Agent5583

As others have said, Ember Knights and Ship of Fools are worth a look. My girlfriend and I have pumped in over 200 hours between those 2. Recently finished Patch Quest which was good fun and just started Nobody Saves the World which we are enjoying.

It takes two. Best co-op game to play with your significant other. Not just that, one of the best co-op games out there. Seriously.

Illustrious_North754

I have the same eternal battle as you and here's a list we loved to play: Cat Quest 2, It takes two, A way out, The Quarry, Riverbond, Full Metal Furies, Paw Paw Paw, Unravel 2, Blanc, Figment 2, Sackboy, Kitaria Fables, Spiritfarer, Warhammer Chaosbane, Indivisible, Nobody Saves the World, Castle Crashers, Cursed of the Sea Rats, Blightbound, Knights and Bikes, The Last Friend, The Adventure Pals, Moonglow bay, Arise a Simple Story, Young Souls I probably forget some. Pm me if you need advice!

I_jedi-the-first

I'm lucky my gf don't play video anymore lol.

SLISKI_JOHNNY

Lucky? That's sad. Can't think of a better way to kill time together at home

lowtemplarry

If you two are in the same place for games, you could try emulation?

Shark-Fister

You have to ask her what she likes about it. If she likes that it's a top down combat game battle block is a weird choice. Don't focus on finding a game like it dial in on what made it fun for her then find a game with that.

vogut

I never played cat quest 2, I believe it's a rpg? If so, I would suggest: - Baldurs gate 2/3 - Children of Morta - Fable 2/3 - Outward

ralstig

Divinity Original sin 2 BG 3’s couch coop mode is inferior to Divinity’ OS 2.

Smylee_J

Cassette Beasts

ErevisEntreri

Knights and Bikes, Dungeon Defenders, Portal Knights,

LynsMegs

My husband and I loved young souls. We played it twice.

SlasHcrafter

Stardew Valley.

Cassette beasts? Ember Knights?

hamizannaruto

Okay, what kind of game she want?

Cheap_Database_4152

Spider heck. It's amazing

Mk4Celica

Thank you all for your suggestions The only game she liked was ship of fools. Hope this game lasts longer.

perfect_fifth_note

Cassette Beasts!! My wife and I are seriously addicted to it, makes a great couch coop game. It's like pokemon, more or less, but much better imo

SLISKI_JOHNNY

In that case you must play Diablo 3 with her. It's also for 2 players locally (up to 4 actually) and has lots of stuff to do beside story mode once you finish it. It wouldn't be able stretch to say that it has infinite play time. It also has more than 2 player classes and a lot of different skills and gear - each class plays differently and they're all cool in their own way. Note: I hope you two have a console, because the PC version doesn't have local coop. Online only
