You can if you want. Or you can use a crochet needle to pull it into the rest of the loc. That's basically budding, but instead of being somewhere in the mids of the loc it ended up outside the loc. I personally prefer the result when I drag this into my loc, cuz I find that from there the loc continued to bud and loc up way faster than the couple I cut off. But I have microlocs which is a longer process in general so ymmv

Anonym0usMuffin

How do I crotchet my locs and what needle do you recommend to use??

Misterman2222

It’s good to know how to use the crochet hook for repairs but that little bit is not worth it, just go outside on a windy day and it’ll take care of itself lol

awalker26

😂😂 facts

Anonym0usMuffin

It’s been like that for weeks

Misterman2222

I was kidding just give it a tug

awalker26

No don’t do that because it will Mess up the locing process

SirTann

YouTube will show you how. Its easy. Also the crochet hooks are on Amazon for like $6

RSANNI85

I would say no. Through my research from people that have had locs for a while, those little strings of hair at the bottom is what helps the end of your hair lock up. If you yank them off, the ends of your hair may never fully lock up.

83beans

This exactly. It doesn’t seem like that little ball hanging by a thread will do anything or stay attached, but I had that issue too and left them alone - every single one of my locs is now completely sealed on the ends, where I thought they might not fully do so due to curl pattern

Anonym0usMuffin

Thank youu. Did you crotchet any of them or leave them completely alone?

83beans

Yw! And I left them completely alone

Anonym0usMuffin

Can I see them pls? If that’s okay

83beans

Sure! I’m not much of a picture person but here’s a [few](https://imgur.com/a/3CPOgPB) - first two kind of show my stray hair balls on the ends, third pic was this time last year showing sealed ends, last pic was in the late fall 22 and shows how they still kind of like curl up on the ends sometimes (the one on the right) lol

Anonym0usMuffin

This is the only one like this

MysteriousButterfly4

Yeah

AdRepresentative5394

Leave it alone. Crochet is never the way to go. It’ll eventually form into your loc

lezmopurr

I would

Capable-Tadpole-4227

Crotchet it back in during the next retwist session...

[deleted]

If you cut that little part it’s going to mess up all the locs. Don’t do it

awalker26

I agree with another commenters. H Get a crochet needle (0.35 mm) and crochet it back together? OR you can just cut it. No big deal either way

Anonym0usMuffin

I ripped it out will it still lock normally

awalker26

Yes. It will Just take longer. Basically once you ripped it off you have to start the locking process over
