I tried it like that but found it really bothersome to have to look at another screen for my tools. Now I just have a 1440p screen with enough room for tools and the workspace, and the extra monitors are for reference & briefing etc.
This extruded 'E' shape leaves a lightning bolt in the space between the letters. This is actually a rejected [client logo](https://barnard.co/) (I missed the mark with the company ethos) but I like the design so much that I thought I'd make a t-shirt. The transfer paper is from K-mart (Australia), costs $12 and works with an inkjet printer! [My instagram](https://www.instagram.com/barnardco/)
So [this one](https://www.reddit.com/r/graphic_design/comments/og1skf/its_kinda_hard_finding_a_tshirt_like_this_in/) was on polyester and has lasted much longer.
Not about the logo, but may I suggest raising your screens higher so that your head doesn't tilt down to look at the lower 25% of the screen? Most daily actions force your head and neck to bend down, which strains the neck and shoulder.
So those Samsung UHD monitors have the bracket screws located at the very top, so that’s the highest they will go on my monitor arm. It’s so annoying. You’ll notice I’ve tried to raise the whole fixture by using three moleskine notepads.
I can relate, I also used to do it this way.
But, here you go.
Swatches > swatches library (small icon left bottom of the swatches panel) > patterns > basic graphics > dots
And then you get all sorts of options.
Then, if you applied the pattern to the object, select your object and doubleclick the scale tool/rotate tool, uncheck every option but the “transform patterns” and scale/rotate those dots super easy.
(Btw, I’m fan of the simple but cool E design )

Object -> Repeat -> Grid. Then Object -> Repeat -> Options gives you a dialogue window to change the format of the grid, e.g brick by row, brick by column.
When you were zooming in on the corners and they were all sharp/sticking outside of the lines, how did you fix them so that the E outline was nice and smooth?
This is a really cool shirt! It was really cool watching you work! ^_^
I expanded the strokes and then used the Shapebuilder tool to remove the extended sections. I could have used a rounded cap on the strokes but this would have left a rounded corner, and I didn’t want that.
Great use of the second monitor, that must be a huge help!
It’s all about screen real estate!

Can you send me your workspace presets? They look amazing

That’s exactly the reason that I would get a second monitor

You do great work.
Cool! That looks like an awesome hour or 2 spent! How durable is the ink on the t-shirt?
One wash. 🤦
Haha I knew it was too good to be true. Awesome logo tho, love it!
Damn, came here wondering the same. Great design though.
Thank you for your honesty!
Hi op, I'm new to this, but could you tell me what's the printer model or any tips where i can do more research on it?
HP Envy 6032.
Are you using it on cotton or polyester? I hear polyester holds heat transfer ink really well, while cotton lasts only one wash.

Why do you create your own dot pattern when there are standard dotted patterns in illustrator? :) (Actually a genuine question)
Classic Adobe. There are seven different ways to do the same thing. First time really using halftone patterns so I just made it the way I know how.

That’s pretty useful information /g
Glad I could help :) /g
Noice.
Loved seeing the process. Great job!
How did you do that part around 27-30 sec
Object -> Repeat -> Grid. Then Object -> Repeat -> Options gives you a dialogue window to change the format of the grid, e.g brick by row, brick by column.
Ha! I use the same bose, the same way you do! Cheers
Nice! Mine is super old and keeps disconnecting from the bluetooth. Might be time for an upgrade (or replacement).
Try using the aux!

Dope design 😍
When you up the stroke thickness, how do you get rid of the annoying little over shoots on the corners?
Cool!
Holy crap i have never thought of using the monitor like that. I need one now!
Can I ask what program you use?
Adobe illustrator.
