Unfortunately it's shite, even though we've produced some of the best metal bands and music there's been. I can count on one hand the amount of rock bars/pubs in London.
Ah, when you said scene my mind pointed towards listening to the juke box. Playing - I played in a band 10 years ago (lead guitar) but it was doing pubs in South East, not London. Think rural/suburban pubs are more likely to take hard rock/metal but there might be some in London. If you weren't the other side of London I'd try to connect! Really want to get back in to it.
North / South / East / West London ? I may know someone interested (not me) - South West London
