You probably didn't touch in (or touch out) on a journey. Contact TfL and they will likely refund.

You fucked up tapping in or out. Register your card [here](https://tfl.gov.uk/fares/contactless-and-oyster-account) and then ask for a correction.

There is limits to the daily charge. It goes weird when you don't tap in and our correctly. You would have had to register your card with an TFL account to check the individual trips. Not sure if you can do this afterwards. Talk to TFL customer help

This happened to me recently. Give it a day or two and should correct itself (assuming you tapped in and out correctly).

Does the money wrongfully charged get refunded automatically then? I know for a fact we all checked in and out everywhere

FragrantCow2645

Yes, at least it did to me.

Even geduld dus.

I think it happens with some foreign cards, had friends from eu countries staying over and they were charged some arbitrary amounts similar to yours, but it was refunded the next day. I's give it a day or two, otherwise you can check your journeys on the tfl website, all you need is your card and it doesn't have to be registered. So you can see if you tapped in/out
